AudioCipher is a MIDI chord progression and melody generator plugin that turns words into music.
Generate seed ideas based on a word or phrase you type in. Then drag that midi file directly onto a software instrument track in your DAW. Give the notes rhythm and re-arrange them as you see fit.
What is the point of typing ANYTHING in? LOL How is this converting text to midi? LOL Its just a standard random generator and they market it to simpletons who have no clue that think its converting text to midi, when its just generating random midi, period. Shame onn you for indulging this crap. Somepeople will just do anything for free shit and likes. LOL
Fortunately for those libraries the quality is still pretty low. With $80M in capital, they're likely to improve the quality significantly within a year.
Yes for sure, I suggest setting audiocipher to phrygian mode for that, it's popular in trap music because it has a dark vibe to it (due to the flat 2). Try words that mirror that feeling and let that drive your process.

Great product , good demonstration, ........but a lot of improvement on your diction, I had to slow it down to understand what you are saying. Do you realize that there is a world out there for whom english is not their native language and are potential clients ? Just saying😂😂
@@audiocipher it's not an exact match , but it reminds me of the opening track. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mEgET98jZks.htmlsi=ohjPuuA5vgigOQdI
No argument with that! It's a string of 30 second temp tracks generated in 5 minutes and arranged on iMovie. Of course they sounds terrible - lol. But also... GANBreeder images looked horrible and within a couple years we had Midjourney. The main purpose of this demo was to explore how AI film scoring tools might accelerate the early stages of composing and help musicians prototype ideas. As AI-assisted music generation software gets better, modular audio-to-midi rigs could help composers expand on generative audio in their DAW, cleaning up initial ideas and developing them into actual, usable music. But of course, if you hate that idea and the generative music approach in general, you're free to not use it. It's important and valuable that a group of people reject these techniques and hold on to classic methodology.
This is interesting, though the text is kind of meta, as it describes the genre, instrumentation, and environment. A positive aspect of this approach is that the text can be concretely verified or contradicted, as you show in the video. It's unfortunate that the text does not describe the emotions of the piece or generate lyrics. The text-to-chord tool that I'm working on can take genre, lyrics, and emotions as input. I would say that the tool is ready for a demo, but it's quite difficult to evaluate whether it is doing a good job or not.
We’ve seen LP uses words to describe emotion but it doesn’t do it every time. Something odd about the system is that it uses the exact same phrases every time It interprets a song.
i like the idea but i have some feedback. The chords always land on the bars, its very rigid and robotic. Maybe add some shuffle, velocity randomization or some way to make the progressions flow better. The chords seem to not match up with tempo, so i have to stretch everytime i generate a new midi.
Hey James, thanks for the feedback! It sounds like you might be using the rhythm randomization feature, which includes triplets in V3. During our user testing, people preferred this option, but we're adding a new feature in V4 to toggle the triplets on or off. If it's turned off, the notes will always land on the beat and consist of half, quarter, and eighth notes. Velocity randomization is a neat idea - we haven't built that out yet but will discuss it and see if we can find a place for it in the interface. :)
Good idea plugin need a update it don't match up to bpm and chords and melodies is off the grid you can timestretch it or follow in studio one if audio cypher fix that then the work flow would be better
Hey, thanks for the feedback. The plugin imports based on your project BPM. I think you're referring to the fact that rhythm randomization includes the triplet subdivisions. This can make rhythms more interesting for short words, but throws things off for longer phrases. Maybe we'll add an option to randomize without triplets in the future, so you have more control. I'll share this with the rest of the team.

Thanks Lonz, we read this feedback when you shared it last month and have added a feature that will toggle off triplets. It will be part of V4 and should solve this.

dit Afro-Saudis are Saudi people of Black African heritage. Afro-Saudis are the largest Afro-Arab group.[1] They are spread all around the country but are mostly found in the major cities of Saudi Arabia.[2] Afro-Saudis speak Arabic and adhere to Islam.[3] Their origins date back centuries ago to African Muslim migrants settling in Saudi Arabia, and to the Arab slave trade.[4]
terrible video.... he doesn't play piano... ok.... but he cannot immagine even a singole short phrase.... oh, I don't know... the book is on the table.... the cat is over there.... not so difficult!

WAIT... It bounces RANDOM patterns, and not based on syllables or anything?! So I can type a 3 syllable word and it could give me a 7 tone or even 4 tone random set of notes?!? WHY?!
The midi output is not random, the algorithm uses a musical cryptogram technique that has been used by composers for centuries. You can read more here: www.audiocipher.com/post/musical-cryptogram
Totally! The Odin plugin sounds really nice and makes the doom riffs feel closer to reality. AudioCipher gives that extra assistance, so you don't have to overthink the riff.
