Hey! I am not. Personal projects have stalled a little bit due to family growth and medical leave buuuut big stuff in the pipeline. There will be Lambretta, modern and Vespa side car stuff up here soon!
Nice work mate! I did a build just like you. Pink LC cilinder on a AC block. The cilinder is build for durability and it's limiting factor is the small exhaust port. The customer later came back for a more expensive cilinder and weight reduction of his Yamaha Neos. Empty weight 70kg and dyno around 21HP if I remember correctly.
I wish there were this many parts especially suspension parts for my 2006 piaggio fly 150. There’s the malossi big bore kit and variatior and that’s basically it :/
just bought a scooter like this and I think you're the only one here I've found to show detailed info on the bike itself. would love to see more vids on this bike!
I put a propane torch to the engine case for two minutes, and the frozen SKF crank bearing didn't even attempt to make it's way into the seat. Same with the f'cking frozen crankshaft and the heating bearings, they didn't just "fall right in. Are these people all lying. or what temperature does the block need to be for the bearing to just "fall right in".
So you ride A Vespa on the freeways around Atlanta? That takes BALLS. I drive A semi from Savannah to Atlanta and I usually try to to get into town as early as possible because it seems like there is carnage on the roads every day 😅
Would you happen to have some photos of how you mounted the radial master cylinder please? I like the idea just need wondered if there was any detailed pics. Thanks Pat
Great video! Enjoyed it immensely. I’ve ridden motorcycles for 40 plus years and am contemplating a Vespa. I currently own a VStrom and a 1977 BMW airhead. I’ve always worked on my own bikes and I do like the older bikes. I’m thinking about a two stroke manual Vespa, could you suggest a year and model range to look at? Some performance parts later on would be in my mind also. I don’t want to go too old, but any suggestions in what to look for would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again! Joe
