Gosh, as shy as i am, i would join in singing too! This man makes people smile...it would make my life if i could see him on the subway while i go to school!

one can only assume the woman didn't want her child next to him .. I thought the same at first but notice she first looks at the subway arriving & then grabs the child's hand, which lead me to think they were intending to take that train .. I don't think there was any scorn on her behalf
