I’m only a few days into this , just stumbled on this video and pretty sure this is my diagnosis, started few days ago when I woke up to the room spinning at 100mph , slowly stopped and I got up , felt really sick , I then tried to lay back down but immediately started vomiting , couldn’t lay down on either side without actually vomiting , my partner got my anti sickness tablets which has stopped the vomiting , my ear is sore , I’m dizzy and light headed 3 days later , done bppv exercises to stop the vertigo(that was a crazy experience) . Doctors Monday hopefully to see what’s happening in my ear .
All bullshit use a pemf and prove this is all not true . Pemf will heal all this I am proof of it the doctors are not out to heal you they want to sell drugs and keep you from life so pemf and live a better life
My husband was diagnosed February 2024, started chemotherapy and now there's nothing else they can do for my love. Cancer is still growing. They have him 2 weeks to live
Still remember the acute pancreatitis mnemonic from med school: BAD $HIT Biliary disease Alcohol Drugs Scorpion sting, Sepsis Hypertriglycerides Idiopathic Trauma
this is one of the best lessons regarding this subject ! thats amazing, one simple note is then in the minute 1:54 the video mentioned aldosterone causes ( potassium secretion ) not to be confused by the clinical presentation of hypokalemia, so dont forget that this is happening inside the distal tubule and thus it will be ( excreted ) in the urine causing the potassium to be low in the bloodstream.
Ringing in the ears starts with medication that you take. I was six years old when I took cough medication and I recall, it sounded like a phone ringing, and it was definitely the medication.
Awesome stuff! As a Kidney Stone Patient atleast (right now a 9.2 mm says hello, since 1 month and 1 and a half months to go until operation :D) I can say this is by far the most straight to the point, accurate video / information out there! Good Job! The only thing I missed was the ureteral stent use cases and certain complications with it. My own opinion: it can certainly help when there is a "complete blockage" and the risk of removing it with for example Urethroscopy is to dangerous. But it can also lead to more pain and suffer depending on the blockage and the patients well being. :)
Thanks for this video it was so clear and helpful! However, it does slightly contradict your previous video on Cushing's syndrome where you said that after the high dose dexamethasone suppression test an a pituitary adenoma (cushing's disease) would have low cortisol and high ACTH. Could you please clarify which is correct?
My nosebleeds will typically last 1-3 hours. For me, doing the typical procedure doesn't do anything other than cause discomfort. I don't feel lightheaded or dizzy, but I definitely feel anxious. Just the other day, I learned that a tampon helped more than the plugging method, nose sprays, or anything else. It is very uncomfortable, but it helped me out massively.
That was actually very informative and a surprisingly enjoyable overview I watched it just to refresh while studying so histology but by chance I found a new resource thanks😊
These are my main symptoms for 2 months since I had strep A tonsillitis; • Pressure between eyes, very top of head and bridge of nose. It's never painful but feels like I'm being pumped full of air. • Tinnitus which changes pitches and volumes throughout the day, with some intermittent popping sounds and very occasionally some slight pain inside either one of my ears • Occasionally a bit lightheaded but not dizzy or off balance. No congestion or any noticeable discharge. • Only thing that helps is a hot bath which gets rid of everything apart from the tinnitus I'm under ENT and take Fliconase for Rhinitis but last week they had a quick look at the top of my nose with a scope and said there's no inflammation. I also recently had a tympanomotry test which was normal so he said I don't have eustachian tube dysfunction. ENT wanted to send me away with more steroid sprays but I wasn't happy so they reluctantly agreed to do a sinus CT scan. I'm now sat here waiting to find out the results but my anxiety has been through the roof which I'm convinced makes all my symptoms worse. Could it be at the time of the tympanomotry my tubes were working but then a few hours later the results could have been completely different? Best of luck to all of you also experiencing these ENT problems 🤞
This was good, but "Presentation" section only addressed symptoms above the neck. For generalized MG (which many cases develop into), or the 10% of people who present primarily with diaphragm weakness, it's not a good description, nor one that would help first responders or an emergency department to suspect and diagnose these MG patients. They would have missed my family member's MG. Thankfully, 2 out of the 3 neurologists he's dealt with were very aware of this, and are treating it correctly.
I have gallstones 😖😖😖😖most painful thing , I’ve ever experienced in my life . I would much rather do my child birth all over again I can’t Eat anything anymore. I’m still waiting for surgery
No one in comment section mentioning knee pain. I own a walker way 33 years old. Wtf. And I can’t swallow unless I pinch my throat. On top of that I have post nasal drip. I’m miserable.
