Good news for there are fillers in not only vitamins, many boxed food items as cereal , ect and issues of antifreeze only labeled to a consumer would not knowv
Our probiotics can typically handle a couple of days of high heat up to 50°C but the strength will slowly decline the longer it is subjected to high temperatures. www.nowfoods.com/healthy-living/articles/more-about-probiotics-stability If the temperature will be very high and the shipping time very long, you may want to order from someplace with an insulated container or even a cold pack inside the box.
It is a product of China. We source ingredients from all around the world, based on the highest quality and best value available. Rest assured, NOW controls the quality of the raw material that we use regardless of the country it comes from. We have found that country of origin is not a reliable gauge of quality or safety. Rigorous testing can eliminate any tainted sources regardless of where they came from. We rely on the tried and true method: rigorous screening and auditing of suppliers, followed by extensive identity and safety testing of the raw material per our own strict specifications. For example, we routinely test for not only identity but also for purity, heavy metals, pesticides/agricultural chemicals, and possible adulterants including pharmaceuticals. Controlling our supply chain by these means is far more reliable than simply generalizing about a country or countries without any data on the actual supplier, its certifications/audits, or test results on its materials.

Yes, certainly. The amount of alcohol would be both miniscule and trivial. Our estimate is that a gram (1,000 mg softgel) of EPA and DHA combined as ethyl esters would contain less than 90 milligrams of alcohol, and our Ultra Omega-3 formula contains only 750 mg of the two fatty acids combined per softgel capsule. Since alcohol has about 7 calories per gram, one of these capsule’s alcohol content would be a fraction of one calorie, and would only become released as the esterified oil is digested in the small intestine to slowly liberate its free fatty acids. By contrast, the USDA estimates that a can of beer contains 154 calories, an ounce of vodka has 64 calories, and a 5 oz serving of wine about 123 calories. In other words, a bottle of 200 capsules might contain about the same amount of alcohol as a can of beer. The Journal of Analytical Toxicology estimates that orange, apple, and grape juice contain up to 770 milligrams of alcohol per liter (approximately the same amount of alcohol in a four-ounce serving as one 1,000 mg softgel capsule of fish oil in the ethyl ester form), and gives a range for one banana where the high end approximates the amount of alcohol in one 1,000 mg ethyl ester fish oil capsule. Fermented foods, including vinegar, yogurt, kefir, and kombucha, typically contain small amounts of alcohol, as well.
@@nowfoods Thanks, and also just want to follow up some more questions, Now Foods also have triglycerides form, what will you suggest to use the Ethyl ester or Triglycerides, and how to know the fish oil is rancid and how to avoid it?
Thursday 4th April 2024. 11.45am. "Dear Madam. Good-morning. How are you? I hope you are well. Thank you, for your video, on detox." Sir Francesca Kray.
With all that I've read and seen about the FDA, I really try to avoid American supplements. I feel for Americans, really. I can only hope NOW is doing the right thing.
We use vitamin D2 in this product because it is a vegetarian formula and vitamin D3 is normally made from lanolin. We know there are vegan forms of vitamin D3, but the raw materials claiming to be from vegan sources have not to date passed our atypically-stringent quality and stability testing, so we do not offer that form. Vitamin D2 and D3 are equivalent in the body in terms of both being precursors of the bioactive compounds that these vitamins are converted into. For decades vitamin D2 has been the preferred injectable form of the vitamin used by physicians for reasons of both safety and efficacy; the authoritative Institute of Medicine says that they are interchangeable in terms of their benefits. The Institute of Medicine, which determines RDAs, also decided that vitamin K2 is not an essential vitamin, but vitamin K1 is because it’s needed for proper blood clotting. So the sole essential vitamin form of vitamin K is K1. Vitamin K2 is a specialty form that does not have an RDA or Daily Value (a standard issued by the FDA). We know the benefits of vitamin K2 in both the standard MK-4 and the specialty MK-7 forms, but it was not traditionally used in basic RDA level multivitamin formulations like Daily Vits and it does add a significant premium to the cost of the raw materials when it is added to a formula. We do offer vitamin D3 and K2 in various strengths and combinations as standalone products, and you will also find them in some of our more premium multivitamin-mineral formulas.
Although both products contain type 2 collagen the UC 2 product is undenatured and therefore not digestible so cannot nourish the type 2 collagen on the bones facing into the joint. Its purpose is solely to provide signaling to the immune system. It suggested uses to take one small capsule on an empty stomach at bedtime, so there is very little of the collagen material within that capsule. By contrast, the BioCell collagen is intended to be digested and absorbed to supply collagen materials to the body. It contains a hydrolyzed (denatured) form of collagen that is digestible by the human body. The serving size is vastly larger than the undenatured form, which is expected considering it is not a minute amount intended for signaling but is actually a supply intended to allow the body to create and maintain its own collagen tissues. Although these are different collagen products in terms of whether or not they are denatured, it is OK to use both products to achieve different end results.
Why does the bifido boost need to be refrigerated after opening, it just have the same ingredients on this probiotic 10 doesn't need refrigeration, their only difference is the added PRETICX???
One of the considerations in determining storage requirements for probiotics is the amount of overage that we can use. That is restricted both by the amount of room in the capsule and the cost of the material in the capsule. In some cases we have to use two to three times the label claim to assure the potency through the Best By date in 18 to 24 months at room temperature, unless a product is kept refrigerated after opening. Since we are adding 1/3 of a gram per capsule of the prebiotic fiber, which is itself an expensive ingredient, there is less room in the capsule to add probiotic overages and less room in the margin as well.
I started to have trigger middle finger last week finger a bit swollen no pain and not completely unlocked I can move the finger but I can feel in the morning the bones very little on each other while opening closing I don’t have this feeling during the day, will the collagen help with my trigger finger or perhaps cure the problem permanently?
Hi! According to @whalenfarms: When you feel the jar is losing it’s aroma, shake a bit. After 3+ months though, you’ll want to discard and make a new batch. Enjoy!
This year will be the year I get off of stevia. It is a crutch & I got waaaay better results without it. When I want sugar I'm just going to have it. The price of powdered stevia is $250.00 CAD per kg and about $150.00 CAD for the liquid! What a total rip off!!! Versus sugar at $1.00 per kg.
Sleep when you can. Just be consistent about. I don't go to sleep early either. I end up waking up too early. I don't know if you've heard of the former NFL football player. Hershel Walker. He sleeps on 4 hours a day. Go to sleep early he wakes up four hours later. Go to later he still wakes up four hours later. He's accepted it and when he was younger he would do situps and pushups. He still does it but not as many as he used to do.
