Help! I got all the way through these steps only to find out I actually have ANDERSON windows... When I called them they said DON'T do any of this since their windows aren't supposed to come apart. Now I have all these extra pieces for all my upstairs windows since I did them all at once. None of them will close now and it just started raining? I trusted you Teresa!!!! ; (
I ordered my Simonton window on February 29, 2024. Was expecting delivery March 22nd. Then delayed until March 28th. Was notified the second week of April it was at the store ready for pick up. Went to pick it up the next Monday, April 15th, but the store said the window wasn't there and that it must be lost. Called the Simonton rep and they expedited a replacement. It was to be delivered on or about May 16th. Received a call from the store on May 2nd saying the window was in. I went to pick it up on Monday, May 6th. The window was excessively dirty/dusty and the vinyl frame was severely scratched up. Simonton shipped a $900 window with a couple pieces of cardboard on the sides of the unit held on with a bit of shrink wrap - no protection on the bottom or top. It looked to be the original window evident by the amount of dust that had settled on it and the amount of damage to the vinyl plus the dates on the sticker label. I sure hope I get an undamaged unit soon. Do better Simonton.

This is driving me nuts. I can’t find ANYTHING like my issue! My window is stuck CLOSED. It will tilt out but if I try to wiggle it out, I will rip the whole wall out!

My windows were out of full warranty by a year. However, I was able to order replacement glass at an extremely discounted/prorated price. All I had to do was send pictures of the damaged windows and the sticker that has the window information. On my windows, they are located at the top of the frame and visible when the window is open.
Is there any access to the blinds itself? During the process of moving the door from one house to my house the shades came off the track. Also, one of the blinds bent.

I have double hung windows with an aluminum track , house was built in the 70's and these are the original windows, but I can't figure out how to pop out the window for cleaning...there is no button on the wooden frame or the aluminum track
My problem is that the string broke that holds the blinds. What an incredibly stupid design. Turns out these things can't be repaired. You have to replace the whole door
thanks I just noticed that gap right now and it's freaking freezing out side and I look and I could see light from the outside I had to get a can a shove it to close the top part..😉👍 Thanks for this video I'll fix it tomorrow morning
Wrong. That whatever it is thing is not blocking the windows o have. They just won’t lower far enough to lock. Your design must be old. And my windows were designed by an idiot.
Didn't work at all. I found the one big magnet, but the other one is at the bottom of the door beyond the track. I tried using another magnet to bring it up, but it won't engage--just keeps falling to the bottom. Sorry---this was not at all helpful.
