You're correct. Someone like Sissel with her beautiful voice can bring it out. All of a sudden it brings your loss back to the forefront that may little or nothing to do what she may actually be singing. I've known of her since 1994 when she opened the Olympic games in Norway. The song simply decries a love situation where everything is "nearly" perfect but something is preventing the good relationship. One tries hard to make everything work out, yet something is still holding the two apart from each other. It's a very good and yet sad song. Heartbreaking lyrics to a lullaby-esque melody. Full of anxiety and misery, with a spark of bright hope in the end. Or not. It's debatable.

Sandy is a little bitty six or seven year old girl. Sandy has a little bitty puppy dog named "Andy. One very bad and stormy night came around and just took off and her Mommy ran away with man. Poor little Sandy didn't know what to do all by herself because even her Daddy had gone to town all drunk and neither cared for her either. Well Sandy got her puppy dog and as hungry as they both were looking for a little place to lay their head and a little ginger bread to eat or like a piece of cady. Well Sandy and Andy came upon a house knocked on the door, explained her story, she also asked for a place to lay their heads. She promised that she would not cry and said that if nobody loved them, nobody ever would and she didn't know what to do. Well when as she and Andy were aslee the angels sent from God and took them both to heaven and they would never have to worry about anything anymore ever again. God was not blind or deaf and Our Heavenly Father loves us all. God welcomed the both of them into His arms and in Heaven God took them from ever being hurt and hungry and unloved and would always be with Him. God loves us all. I read a lot into this song. Sandy was terribly neglected by her parents, she was probably sick and malnourished, as well as her puppy. I know you don't believe in heaven, but is is comforting to know they passed happy and together.
