I wish you wouldn't break knives by prying them. Most people are going to break knives batonning them. The impact resistance is what matters most. Tensile strength is something else entirely and isn't all that relevant to survival knives. You should just start by striking the brick or steel pole and then start prying with them only if they survive that.
In the future you could cut the roof off the car and use it as the standard test for knives. I'm pretty sure you could take the roof off that car with that knife fairly easily if that was the goal. It would test the blade a lot of ways too.
Would love to see you try 14C28N. If not in your own knife, in something else. It's supposedly VERY tough stuff according to Knife Steel Nerds, right there with 3V except stainless. Unfortunately there are only a few fixed blades in it and none very thick, like the Helle Nord. Would be really cool to see if it's as tough as I hear.

Tempering method? Steel seems like a good choice stainless makes for a better all round camp knife or keepsake jungle tool. A compound grind might survive best and chop better.
