This was excellent, thank you so much Metta Centre and Ayya Karunika. Would love more talks on Right Speech, especially with regards to speaking up and the fear and procrastination that may go with that. With deep gratitude from Ireland 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Acc. To the theory of re-birth in buddhism our re- birth is due to our karmic impression and due to this only we get s new body made up of "panch skandha's" and there is nothing common between last body and the new, other than our karmic impression. SO MY QUE IS WHY SOMEONE TENDS TO DO GOOD KARMA OR THE GOOD THING IF NOTHING IS COMMON SO WHY SHOULD I NOT ONLY ENJOY MY LIFE DO WHATEVER THINGS I LIKE WITHOUT THIKHING ABOUT THE consequences of my karma?
Very inspiring education. Thanks Bhante Sujato - looking forward to seeing you here in Germany this November! And thanks to Metta Centre for this Format!
This was a successful dhamma session. Anagarika guided us very well through out the session. Thank you for the organising committee . Theruwan Saranai 🙏
Wow, such brilliant analysis of situations and incredibly positive guidance to overcome the pressing issues of the current society. Thank you so much for the sharing this.Would love to hear more of these talks 🙏
Beautiful talk! The wisdom of the Dhamma shines through her. Thank you to all that helped make this talk possible and share with us all. Much merits 🙏🙏🙏
From the introduction i expected a warm, calm mature energy ! I'm sure it was a wonderful talk, the only problem was she spoke so crazy fast with thick accent and high pitched, almost hysterical tone, it was upsetting to the nerves to try to understand her, it was impossible to understand 99% of it. It felt like she was scolding children! I understand she is an Anagarika and has a long way to go. She was talking AT people and as i said, felt like she was scolding children. A huge shame as we need more talks like this so desperately.
Hello, I was part of the session, and as an Australian, found her quite easy to understand. I think this is reflected in how many people engaged with her during the session as well. Many other guests were very curious about the topics being discussed. I did not notice any hysteria, just a person very passionate about what she is teaching. I did notice that she was high pitched, this is something that can be improved upon for sure. As for her teaching style, every teacher has a teaching style unique to them. The great thing about the Wednesday sessions is that we are exposed to many, many, many different teachers, with different backgrounds and history, different traditions and methods. There are so many teachers within the catalogue, many with similar lessons, who have the calm energy you desire. We all desire teaching styles that suit us, and these Wednesday sessions can enable us to find and follow a teacher suited to us. I hope you can find guidance more suited to yourself going forward :)
Thank you, this sort of respect of the dhamma and variety of traditions coupled with understanding and contemporary technologies and media is good! It's like a small sense of visiting this temple without visiting! I would love to hear Tina give the "meta" metta centre dhamma talk!
Interesting topic. I was thinking about this the other day.. How do the different Asian Buddhist communities in Los Angeles react to Latinos that take interest in Buddhism? Some Sri Lankans are known to be very open to others But I personally never heard of Thais, Cambodians, Burmese etc etc ever being open or reaching out to Latinos or others.
Thank you, Metta Centre, for making this talk available. Brother Phap Hai's directness and clarity do not just teach; they also inspire confidence and trust. This talk has comforted me greatly, in the true sense of the word comfort - giving added strength. And it is comforting to realise as I go about my day that all around the world is a sangha of shared aspirations. _()_
Thank You soooo much Ajahn. I am a Buddhist now because I found you on Insight timer. I am doing my meditations every day consistantly and I feel much calmer and less reactive. Your Dhamma talks are VERY helpful. Your voice and speech skills made me listen to you more and more at the beginning. Now I listen to your Dhamma talks almost every night. I wish you become an Arhant in this life time. Saaaaaadddddhhhhhuuuuuuu 💖💗💜🩷❤️💚🩵💗💖💙🩷🤎💜💖💙
