Support local florists not the big multinational corporations, one day there may be no florists (who purchase from local growers) and then you’ll be paying more as there will competition

I live in a small town in Alberta. The first rental house I moved into had a very friendly kind elderly lady ghost in it. She would even do things when she saw I was depressed ( make my toys jingle or play a song ) and she knew everyday when I got home from work I wanted to turn on my computer and internet. Sure enough as soon as I opened and unlocked the door to the house I could hear my computer booting up . She was the nicest ghost I have met. In my current house all kinds of unusual things keep happening. A part was stolen off my van years ago, and here about 3 days later it came back on its own. My elderly uncle made his bed, went for a shave, and when he came back his bed was remade in a way he had never seen before. If I cannot find something important often all I need to do is say out loud " Boy I really need the such and such I lost. I sure wish I could find it. " And often the same day or next day there it is, sitting in the centre of my chair or counter top when I am sure to see it. One recent thing happened that scared my Uncle some - he went outside to get in the van and drive somewhere, but here all 6 windows on the van were all lowered about half way, each exactly level with the other. My second cousin Ryan passed away a couple days prior so I am somewhat wondering if this was a message from him to see he is ok and fine (???) Ghost are not all nasty like hollywood likes to depict them. I have had experiences with one very nasty ghost but most have been kind, helpful, and even somewhat protective.
Off topic but they need to build a skytrain hub from here along the Fraser River. Going along marine drive, to vancouver river district, connecting to the Canada line Cambie, and YVR
The Mass timber demonstration at the presentation centre was very good. Definitely better than wood buildings. Slightly less sound absorbing than concrete
I’m curious as to how the slow cook setting functions differently than just manually setting the temperature on bake to 275 which is the most ideal slow cook temp for braises and stews. Any idea ?
Thank you for covering this! I wondered why one apartment I was looking at was so much cheaper compared to other listings of similar spaces for the same building on other sites, then It clicked -- 1 year lease discount 😅 this was really helpful as I'm trying to finally get a place of my own and I heavily desire structure and stability
I was born here in Toronto in 1968, I’ve been here my entire life, and I know every single haunted location in the city, but the Fairmont Royal York is one of my favorites, because I had a really weird experience there. My parents live out of town, For their 60th anniversary, I got them a honeymoon suite for a long weekend, so they could relax and have fun. Because they insisted we all go together, I arranged for the whole family to have rooms, almost at the top floor just beneath the ball room. to my knowledge, the ballroom has been vacant for many years, and I was told it was not accessible to the guests, yet every night at 3 o’clock in the morning, it would sound like there was a huge party going on upstairs, we could hear loud music, big band style, playing until the morning, we could hear countless muffled conversations, and hundreds of footsteps, as though an actual dance was happening. I called down to the desk and ask them why there was so much noise going on in the ballroom. The clerk told me there’s nobody in the ballroom, it was empty. I thought they were just pulling our legs, so at 3 o’clock in the morning, I got on the elevator, and went up to the ballroom, the floor above us. Here’s the weird part, the elevator is not supposed to go there, you’re supposed to have a special key, but when I got in the elevator, I didn’t see any keyhole, and when I push the button, it lit up and took me upstairs. When the doors opened, all the noise stopped. Just before the doors opened I could still hear everything, expecting to see a huge party going on, but when those doors opened, all I felt was a chill go down my spine as the room was dead quiet. there was no way I could explain it, until I was talking to a staff member the next day explaining to them what we had experience the night before. They told me this off the record, not want to get in trouble with the management. For decades, people have been reporting, the exact same thing happen, always at 3 AM. It doesn’t happen every night, but he said it did happen frequently, it’s one of the reasons why they closed off the floor, the staff was too afraid to go up there. Many of the staff members and cleaners, reportedly saw countless apparitions on that floor, along with a couple of other floors, but I forget which ones. I’ve always been really sensitive to this type of thing, and I walked through the room, totally empty, yet it felt like I was brushing past hundreds of people. It was the most bizarre sensation in my life, so I grabbed my cell phone and took a whole bunch of pictures, and what I saw on the camera was absolutely unbelievable. Aside from hundreds of orbs of white light, I could literally see faint outlines of people dressed in clothing from the 1950s, and one shot. I can even see what looks like, an actual live band playing. It was incredibly surreal, I stood there, looking at the pictures on my phone, seeing all these things around me, but I looked up into the darkness and see absolutely nothing. Explain that one! No, I’m not crazy, and this did happen, I heard the place was haunted, but never even thought about it, I just wanted to give my parents a beautiful weekend. Thankfully, it didn’t ruin their trip, but it did open our eyes to somethings that we thought was impossible, how do you deny what you can see with your own eyes in here with your own ears? the music was so loud, I could clearly hear they were playing Glenn Miller songs, it was like we were back in the World War II era, yet there is no record anywhere of some type of tragedy happening in the hotel. The staff member I spoke to told me that they didn’t know why there was so much paranormal activity happening, although he did tell me that when they renovated the room, behind the wallpaper, and the wooden boards were scorch marks from what looked like a fire, yet there is absolutely no record whatsoever of a fire ever happening there. Does anybody know anything about it? I’m desperate for information to try to explain what I saw and witnessed, my family all witnessed it as well, if it was just me, we could chalk it up to hallucinations or being tired, but 12 people all seeing the exact same thing, and hearing the exact same thing at the exact same time? That cannot be a hallucination, it had to be real, I’m just dying, pardon the pun, to know why there is so much paranormal activity there when there’s no record anywhere, stating a catastrophe happened, that would justify that many spirits being in one place. The only other explanation is that there is some type of portal on that floor, but that’s just a wild conspiracy theory.
Hey? I had a question. I live in Delaware where you give 60 days notice to move out. I’m currently on a month to month after being on a lease for 6 years in this unit. On the 7th of this month I wrote this email to the leasing office, Hello, I Would Like To Submit My Notice To Terminate My Month To Month Under Del. Code Ann. tit. 25, §§ 5106, 5107. The New Neighbors Upstairs Are Really Making My Stay Uncomfortable With Very Loud Speakers! I’ve Never Had This Issue With Previous Tenants. I Was Initially Going To Submit My Notice In July But I Want To Submit It Now. I Feel Very Afraid Of My Upstairs Neighbors & Wouldn’t Want Them To Know That I Mentioned They Blast Music So Loud My Walls Vibrate At Midnight. I Have To Now Sleep With Earphones. They wrote me back saying I should leave in February instead of March and said that they have a tenant moving in here and the reason I should leave in February is because I have never made a complaint before. I’m not prepared to leave in February but made plans to leave in March. Isn’t this illegal? What can I do? They say my move out date is February 28th.
