This is adorable! Question; Why did you say something like: "I'll probably never make another one with hot glue"?? Was it not strong enough? Or what is your reasoning? Thanks ❤
I am SO SHRILLED you made this video!!! I’m an artist and am very experienced in all crafts, but I don’t sew. My dog’s bday is next month & I want to do a photo shoot for her, but she hates wearing clothes, so whatever she wears, it will only be for as long as the photo shoot will last at best. I know exactly what I want to do for the dress and I’m very particular- I haven’t found anything like it, and if I did, it would likely cost a ridiculous amount of money (bc the look I’m going for is a very glamorous one & I’ve seen dresses that are less beautiful go for $150-$200). That’s just insane! So now I’m so excited to go to the fabric store & create my own for her photo shoot! Thank you so much! 💕💕🙏🏼
Thank you so much for this easy tutorial. My daughter just got her a little Pomeranian and loves to dress her up. Now I can make many cute outfits for my little Granddog. 😁❤️
Love your videos. They are both quick and thorough. My mental questions all addressed! So professional. So glad I found you so I can attempt custom sized coats for my longer thin dog. We call her a pork tenderloin when she stretches out. Rainy west coast morning walks with her more standard sizes friends, I end up with the wettest dog! Nothing fits!
I want to cut it out on the fold but I know she’s just trying to make 2 cuts of fabric at one time. I would probably cut the fashion fabric and line with a satin of some sort. Or maybe you could line with a fleece/ warm fabric and make a coat of sorts, depending on how you made the “skirt” portion
I can vouch for invisible thread being the worst I tried quilting with it boy yah my really expensive quilting long arm hated it I had to stop I learned to wax it before using it helps with sleeping gives it more grip I only used it in my simple machines I refuse to use it in anything pricey because wax leaves residue and I am afraid it will gunk up my big machines that I use no idea how to fix meanwhile the simpler machines i can fix
I made this for my girl to wear to the farmers market and everyone wanted the dress they were asking I just told them they can make it and showed them this video everyone loved her dress I can’t believe how simple it is and quick too especially once you get the hang of it I stopped using a pattern too I can eyeball her size pretty well now I love it for Christmas I made a big tule one using the same idea except I layered the bottom portion with tulle and ruffles and Swarovski crystals it’s beautiful she’s gotten big now but I am hoping her little sister will grow into it and I don’t have to keep saving it for someone special because the dress is special to me
I’ve been going through your tutorials as they are so EASY to follow! I’ve been sewing 🧵 for over 10 years and it’s always so fun to find a seamstress who has easy to follow tutorials. My 5# shih-chi has a closet full of sundresses. 😊 This VEST pattern is going to be awesome for our Bernadoodle, Noahh JonPaul ❤ … thank you!
Love your tutorials. How would you add extra closures? I want to attach a d ring for a leash and she would pull the velcro open if that was the only closure.
Hey would you do 6 inches in how wide you’d do your waist band I believe it’s called for a larger medium size dog ? Not including seam allowance of course? You went with 3 inches I think for your baby girl ! Do you think that maybe too much thou? Ty
She’s precious! And don’t you just love the dollar tree ! You could add the time all over that little dress you have so much trim too and it matches perfectly! lol
Great tutorial! I’ve also made each of Anabelle’s dresses (she’s my 13 year old, 5 pound shihtzu) into a harness by adding a loop (like you make for zipper pouches). She’s so small and the little pulling she does when she’s smelling flowers on our walks isn’t an issue with just a ‘tag’ sewn to the back of her dresses. This way we are no longer using a separate harness. Thanks again for the tutorial! I’ve made dozens of dresses for my baby girl! ❤
I love piecing (I’m a quilt maker) and this was a brilliant idea for a dog dress!! Thank you 😊❤ I have a precious 12 year old, 5 pound shihtzu and she’s going to be adorable in this!
This is the CUTEST dress! I have a 5 pound shihtzu and I crochet her winter sweaters but I’ve needed an easy sew 🧵 pattern for summer dresses and yours is the winner. Thank you so much!! 😊
