My 11 year old daughter watched your video and made our English Bulldog a dress 100% by herself! It turned out super adorable!! So proud of her. Thank you for sharing your video.
Thank you! I have just started sewing and stuck at home recovering from surgery. This has passed a lot of time for me! My babies also love their new dresses! Thanks so much!
This is a fantastic tutorial. I made a beautiful dress for my chihuahua puppy and I am a beginner. Thank you so much for sharing. Clear and easy to follow.
Thank you very much for sharing this tutorial with us viewers. I have watched many tutorials and yours is the simplest and yet very detailed. I will share. 👍🏽
I am sewing dog dresses for my best friends new puppy for Christmas and this video was so helpful. It has been very hard to find a good video to follow. Thank you!
Hello! I am so glad to hear that you are learning from my videos! It can be so much fun to create these little dresses and customize leashes for your dogs! Thanks for watching!
I think you are awesome. I just bought a new machine, sewn for a long time but never little things. I'm hyped to make outfits for my baby. You've inspired me!! By the way my baby girl is 3 months old and only weighs 1.5 lbs but with your instructions I should do well. Thanks for being so thorough!👍🏽
That is awesome! That’s the great thing about being able to make your own pattern. You’ll be able to make teeny tiny dresses for her right now and as she grows you can adjust the pattern! Thanks for watching!
I just made my brothers new service dog a dress. I wish I could send you a photo of it. It's so cute and honestly a lot easier to make than I thought it would be.
That is so awesome! I would love to see pictures. You can send pictures to my email or message me on Instagram! Email: posey3316@gmail.com Instagram: life_ofposey
My sister in -law is having a baby girl so I sewed her a teddy bear but I have soo much fabric left over I’m TOTALLY going to make her dog a matching outfit THANK YOUU!
I’m so glad I found you. I don’t have a little girl. One is a 100lbs 11 mos old Newfoundland and her sister is 77lbs they are litter mates. The one sister is ill. Anyway October 15th is their birthday and I could find a pretty dressy dresses for my girls. I’m going to try and make a pattern. I may need help.
Can you explain the U-Shape measurement. You did the neck with 2 1/2 and I understood that, but where did you get the 10. You took 10 divided it by 2, got 5 and then added the 1". Again, what was the 10? What the 10 neck to tail, if so that's confusing for around the neck. I'm so excited to make this. Thank you so much. I got everything else.
I’m sorry if that seems confusing. What I was trying to show is that Posey‘s neck measurement was 8 1/2 inches all the way around. I add 4 extra inches onto that measurement to allow for velcro closures. That brings my number to 12 1/2 inches. The back of Posey’s neck alone is 2 1/2 inches. That leaves me with 10 extra inches bringing me to a total of 12 1/2 inches which is the total number of inches needed to reach around her entire neck leaving extra space for the Velcro closures. I really hope this helps! If you still find this confusing, please let me know. I think you’ll do a great job! Sometimes you just have to go for it and it will all make sense! Thanks for watching!
That’s awesome! I would love to see a picture! You can always send a picture through email to posey3316@gmail.com or you can send a direct message through Instagram @life_ofposey.
I love your videos! Every informative and you never leave any information out! You rock! Do you think your dogs measurements will fit a 8 week old puppy as well? She is a 12 pound standard poodle ❤️
Thank you! As far as the measurements that I gave you for my dogs pattern goes, I am not sure if it will work for your 12 pound dog. My dog is about 8 pounds.
Thank you so much waiting for the new videos I suggest you to do something like pet pajama with t shirt pattern .. because it’s going to be winter and we needs it thank u and keep going
I just measured my Bullmastiff to make him a Mardi Gras outfit Neck: 26 inch Chest: 38 inch Neck to tail: 24 inch Arm pit to Arm pit: 30 inch Neck to arm pit: 7 inch Back of neck: 11 inch 😳 Bahaha! Looks like I have my work cut out for me- wish me luck!🤪 Thank you for the informative video!!
How do you get the length of the straps ..how do you know how far to dip it down...so you only make this to 1/2 the measurements you took??? Where does only taking half the measurements and recording it come from?trying to mark my pattern 123456 but not sure what goes where..guess I'll never make it as a designer..can't follow instructions like th is
Hey would you do 6 inches in how wide you’d do your waist band I believe it’s called for a larger medium size dog ? Not including seam allowance of course? You went with 3 inches I think for your baby girl ! Do you think that maybe too much thou? Ty
What measurement are you referring to when you say waist? The measurements you took were, neck, chest, tail to neck, armpit-to-armpit, neck to pit line, and back of neck. Then, when marking the measurements, you refer to waist line.
Hi i am from south africa what is poseyś size in this video small medeum or Large. I have a big problem sizing the cloths when make is. Can you help please thank you .
You needed to iron your tissue paper so there's no wrinkles. Then you begin to draw out your pattern. Your directions on how to measure your dog were clear however, the skirt part of the dress should have been included.
I get the shape it's suppose to be but you loose me with what measurements go where because your not explaining which ones because your dividend and saying different areas..I'm so confused..need to find better visual instructions of what goes where...
I really enjoy sewing but I can I agree that it can be hard at times. My best advice to you is to just keep trying. Like all things, the more you do it, the better you get! Best of luck!
