There is a seller on AliExpress that carries the Pokornyi Hyp R glass and will etch your specified logo for you, but I just went with a set of 4in vinyl brake caliper logo's found on ebay
Hey, did you add 1 more setnof thumb rotaries in the hole for the thumbs? Is it easy to do or was it hard? Im thinking about buying this wheel, but the lack of 4 thumb rotaries has put me off until now.
Yes it was easy to do, the PCB is designed for 4 rotory. You will have to flatten down the lip that the back plate rest on in that area, but it doesn't weaken the strength of the wheel. It's only a small space, just big enough for the rotory housing to sit flat.
Hi, may I ask how much fore and aft movement there is in the rig? I'm asking because I run 27" triples just behind the wheel, and I'm interested to know if I can get away with just raising them a little instead of needing to push them all the way back behind my wheelbase, if I'm gettint this motion system. Thank you!
Hi Salvatore, if your monitors dont move with the rig i would recommend that when the system is fully raised you will need a full 2 inches plus of clearance from the highest point of your rig to the lowest point of your monitors to clear the forward and aft movement. If you can bring the monitors forward enough so that they sit in between the space of the wheel and wheelbase, basically getting the wheel base behind the monitors, this would be the ideal setup. With this setup, you may need a wheel spacer to extend the wheel a bit farther from the base.
In the beginning I was a bit slower with motion, but once I started to use motion to feel what the car was doing I gained the time back. Motion doesn't make anyone faster, but knowing how the car is responding will allow you to make a better setup which will lead to being more consistent and that will make you faster.
Hi great video, can you please tell me if you have any issues while running this system with VR? Like when you touch your headset when running does your headset screen go grey? any loss of tracking? I'm seriously considering this system but I only use VR, cheers
What's the purpose of frame below the rig? Is it to prevent the motion platform from "walking away" during use?
2 года назад
Yes, just as a precaution and to minimize carpet wear. All 4-actuator chassis will crab walk over time, specially if the floor is uneven, carpet helps but it still depends on distribution of weight and any floor variations.
@@user-ze2ok4fz1e it was very easy, but I had an issue with setting up the IP address for the system and the team setup a Skype video call and remote accessed my pc to fix it for me. They are awesome to work with.
@@virtualapex83 Thank for sharing ! I just bout TR160 rig for my son and trying to get a motion platform. Not that easy when you have no idea what to look for :)
I would say very much simular, but I only have SRG'S video to compare as I have never used the d-box version. But I will say I havent found anything that makes me feel like I needed to spend twice the price on a D-Box system, especially with Sigma consistently adding new features and soon to have the DK2+ that has a 800lb weight capacity.
How are you enjoying your DK2? It's been a few months since this video so was curious what your latest impressions are? Any tips for someone interested in getting one of these?
The experience has been the best I have had with any company. The personalized attention they give is outstanding and they keep you fully updated on any new software and hardware info on their Facebook page. The system itself is awesome, it does what it's designed to do perfectly. In the beginning I had a small issue with one actuator and they worked hard and fast to resolve and replaced it at no charge to me and constantly apologized and constantly contact me to make sure all is well. The system is easy to use, easy to setup and is very fast, powerful and accurate, even though with the weight of my rig and myself being close to the 500lb max. I can't complement them enough and I am still more than happy with the purchase, even though I have got to race as much as I use to lately.
The padding is a bit thin so I added some more foam under it, but it was the only seat I could find that fit my 38 waist nicely, but now rSeat makes a bucket seat for the same price that fits up to a 44in waist.
First impressions of the DK2 system from Sigma Intergrale is amazement, the system is very fast and responsive. I had concerns about using vr with a motion system, wondering if it would cause an unnatural head movement, but in the first run I instantly was at my normal pace. The motion was very in sync with what I was seeing and didn't cause any uneasiness. I did have a small issue with a random jolt, but after working with the guys at Sigma, they currently have a new software fix that looks promising, can't wait to test it out tomorrow. On that note, as a buyer you will be hard pressed to find a company so willing to make sure you have the perfect experience with their product and I highly recommend if you are thinking of adding motion to give Sigma a try, you will not be disappointed. The next video will be of a full race with sound, coming soon.
Looks great! Is the video an accurate depiction of the graphics through the Oculus Rift VR? Possibly setting up a gaming computer soon and I'm looking forward to trying this sim.
In car yes distant objects are a bit blurry but not to the point that you can't make out small things like brake lights coming on, but for such an early state it as good, better than I get in RaceRoom a title that's had VR for 3 yrs now.
It is a handful, the brake balance on stock setup is way off and the rear suspension needs a lot of tweaking to make it stable, but I still love to drive it.
Little rough and tumble with Dean at the start. That Nissan is such a handful, there's a reason we don't allow it lol. Also how did I not know till now that there was a RU-vid car lol.
I like this view of the race, it doesn't show me flying off on Lap 1, so I can imagine I just ran off into the distance lol and won :P I must say I'm stunned no one actually claimed that number 19 car, it looks really good.
Meodread I didn't even see that when looking at the replays. I so frustrated with my goof up going to hot into that turn. Has everyone picked a livery?
Yea, this one took me over 4hrs to edit, I usually don't spend that much time on them since I mainly create these for me to watch later. I enjoy watching the races just as much as running them.
Meodread you are not the first or the last, next time could be mine. If I am correct, this is the first time for the series at Norisring in DTMs right.
