If you think Split was bad, then come see Dubrovnik past 10:00 a.m., when the cruise ships arrived and the city gets flooded with tourists. It's like sardines in a can.
The islands were once covered in oak and pine trees, until the Romans needed large amounts of wood, to build their immense fleet of ships to conquer and destroy Carthage about 220 BCE. The further South you go, the more green and lush the landscape becomes. Punic Wars...
I had the pleasure of riding the coast road to Dubrovnik from Trieste/Slovenia/Croatia in 2007! It was not all complete but I agree, what a lovely scenic road to ride!
Long Comment - I have been a long-time subscriber. Your videos from 12 years ago when you vlogged, sucked me in. Because of them, I bought a sports bike and I LOVED life. I gave a shot at creating a vlog of my own, but I do not have the gift of gab, and the videos were shit. I just spent the last day watching this entire series. I work from home and have the benefit of being able to have your videos on, while I work and it has been a treat. It has been 5+ years since I have watched your content and I am so glad that I thought to search you up again on RU-vid. First off, thank you for creating fantastic content. I know it is a ton of work, so thank you. I miss your old vlogs. I truly looked forward to them, but I am happy that I found your channel again and have been able to enjoy this trip "with you". Second, thank you for being you. Thank you for sharing your challenges and not sugarcoating things. You make it so that it is easy to connect and understand, and you say what we are all thinking. There were many moments during this series that I can't help to laugh. Especially when you forget to do up your chin strap, or if you go around your hotel 5 times trying to find the entrance. I personally do not suffer from anxiety, depression, or suicidal thoughts, however, my wife does and it has opened my mind and made me more understanding of the seriousness that your thoughts can have and how it can affect every aspect of your life. My oldest boy also suffers from anxiety, and although I don't truly understand it, I appreciate you talking about it and bringing more light to the subject so others can understand and learn to be compassionate to those who have to work through it each day. Before I met my wife and someone told me they had anxiety, my thoughts were "don't think about it" or "you are fine" because I didn't realize how impactful thoughts were. I didn't understand that anxiety is truly such a hardship for some people and they don't have control of their thoughts. I am still learning how to be patient with those around me that have it. I want to be brave and go on a trip like this. I would love to do it with my brother, and my wife and share the experience like you have said, but there is also the side of me that wants to do this alone. I want to be stuck in my own thoughts and really get to know myself while on my motorcycle. I think that riding a motorcycle is the best way for me to clear my mind and really think about my life and the shit I need to get done to get my life where I want it. I have never done a trip out of fear. This has inspired me to do the things that you are afraid of. I am based in the U.S. and there is so much to explore! Thank you again for creating your channel. Thank you for sharing this with us. Thank you for being open. Thank you for being you. Please do not stop making content. Please do not stop sharing your life with us even if you feel it has all gone to shit, because I think you have a huge community of people that it helps to hear those things and we want to support you. Thank you!
I also react quickly to bad situations, which causes me stress. Ive started learning Stoicism. Its a philosophy for gaining control of your mind. Its changed me for the better so much. Some of the most successful people ever practice stoicism.
Hove the hell I have missed these i will never know, watched every morcel of 44T ,I was laughing my bollocks off with the evil rainstorm, when i was fucked up in about 2015 I rode my Aprilia Rst1000 Rst1000
Had one 3rd best bike Ive ever owned (the SP model but all of them are great). They can behave well as a road bike, comfortable, have stable handling, strong breaks and sublime fueling
I’m looking at a 2018 model now, it has the electronics, 16000km and asking price is 10k euro. Seems fair ? Has some small scratches on the exhaust and on the front panel just under the tank (pointy bit) , looks like it has been tipped over. Has had service recently. Things I need to look at with these models ?
EV's are dead out of the box, just a matter of time before they're scrapped, with some exceptions. Totally agree the public are being lied to but it's a difficult pill to swallow, it's basically fraud we're being institutionally lied to. From the peer reviewed data, CO2 has no effect on temperature, it is in fact the other way round, temp drives CO2 with about a 250 year lag. And that right there is the end of the whole man made climate change debate. Nothing we do with ICE makes any difference. And there's plenty more evidence where that came from. Ask yourself, when was the last time you saw a debate on the validity of the whole deal? That question is off the table. We need an open, independent, live, unedited debate between those experts that are pushing this garbage and those experts who disagree. Do your own research.
I remember that ad for a road tester in MCN. I had a subscription at the local newsagents. Read all the mags too. So glad now Neevsey got the job. He's a bloody natural.
You paid a fair price. That's a British thing. Down here in Australia, folk want to sell for the earth and buy for fcuk all so nothing moves. People don't do their pricing research so there is very little chance of paying or accepting a fair price. Gives me the sh1ts
I had a 2004 K4 for years. Magnificent. Smoothest engine I ever had in a bike despite the racy power output. No handgrip vibes. The engine to me was the 8th wonder of the world.
Recommend 'Mad About Morocco' guide and / or ex pat useful contact there Mark W (he's a good man, and thorough). You'll probably be on a Honda Transalp
Bro you should contact somebody from split when you were there the trip would be much better, if you contacted me we would go little outside of split and see smaller towns.
6:29 Hi Chris we are all human, we have our ups and downs, it's all normal. I have to say that I'm sorry that you felt bad at that moment when you were in my city Mostar, but more than that I'm sorry that I didn't find out in time that you have your own channel because I follow your work on channel 44teeth, otherwise I'm a long-time motorcyclist and admirer and rider of Italian motorcycles. If you ever come back to Mostar, get in touch, I would be happy to host you and show you everything Mostar has to offer. Greetings from sunny Mostar from Andrej
Sometimes I watch the last minutes. The accomplishment together with the song "outro" brings tears to my eyes. I'll never be able to rides these roads, but damn I'm happy you did. Thank you baron. P2T forever.
Playing this on the background whilst I do some extra Saturday work… ended up relating far too much, I think I’ll stop working shortly and connect with my partner and friends I still have. Thanks mate 👍
