Thank you for sharing this unusual time of the year for traveling in that area. I had no idea how much wildlife was around then, and the snowy scapes make me determined to re-visit Banff national park in th early spring. Love your videos, the sense of humor and your determination! All the best!
Link to your route doesn’t work. Can you check as I’d like to see what route you’re taking. Also, what’re you using for navigation/ maps/ cyclo comp and route finding?
Just checked the link, at my pc it work. You have to wait a little bit, until the route gets loaded. Or try to zoom a little bit in, then it loads better sometimes. I`am using maps.me on my smartphone to navigate. And to find some nice locations google earth.
Another great video Patrik, excellent videography and drone footage! Sorry to hear about your jackets being stolen, that’s absolutely awful. Good luck with your future journey 👍
Hi Patrik, Graham here from the UK, we met in 2019 in Russia, I was cycling north to Ulan-Ude and you were cycling south towards Mongolia. I finished my trip in Japan and since then have been back in the UK. I miss travelling by bicycle and so I was looking for your youtube channel to see your videos, its great to see that you are still on a huge adventure - I really enjoyed this episode from Chile (although you didn't see everything you wanted) and I saw the one from Bolivia - incredible! Keep it up, have a great adventure
Hey Graham, I am remembering very well at you. You was very simpatic guy ;). Perhaps we can drive someday together (what do you think about whole africa? I am a little bit afraid to driving it alone). How was Japan? I also would like to visit it one day.
@@PatrikDusek Hi Patrik, it would be great to cycle together someday! I'm not sure if I can do a big trip very soon because I just started a PhD, but maybe I can do a trip half-way through the PhD or after it... Africa would be incredible, I have never cycled there, when are you thinking of going there? Japan was a beautiful place, and very good roads for cycling on - there were beautiful mountains, beautiful beaches, there were hot springs which you could bathe in, and the seafood was brilliant - I highly recommend it! Where are you now brother?
Great drone shots! For some reason I thought drones would be restricted in China, (even though they are usually made there) so I was amazed to see the stunning scenery from the air.
Patrik, how much water are you carrying on some of these legs? We just had Margaritas at Z Tejas and were talking about when you joined us there in June. Continue the great work Patrik!
Cheers Doug, It depends on the temperature, over 30°C I need about 3-4l per day below 20°C are 2-2,5l enought. But mostly I am able to find some water on the road, so I carrying mostly about 3l. I also drinking always water from creeks and gasstations, without useing a filter. In the whole americas I buyed only 2 liters water on the whole trip.
You have the best attitude I've seen on these RU-vid bikepacking vlogs. No matter what the conditions or the weather you smile and remain positive and cheerful. You sir are an inspiration. Cheers and may the winds remain at your back.
Tolle Episode!
Fantastic! I recently discovered your channel and I must say this is one of the most remarkable bike tour vlog I've seen. This China section is particularly inspiring. Such beautiful scenery. I imagine it must have been quite challenging at times. I have so many questions. Thank you for sharing your adventure! Also, I want to add that your mother is an extraordinary person. Safe travels and may the winds be always at your back. One last thing; I tried the link to view your route but all it showed was a map of the world but no route. Perhaps you can share another link to the route?
Nice to hear that you like my videos. Try the link from the recent uploaded videos, for my route, that should work. When i have time i will fix the other link in this video. And thanks for the notice, that it doesnt work in this video description.
Mama
