Hello there. I don't post much on here but I just occasionally do things that I would have loved to have had when starting Classic or Big Finish. I hope this helps someone out there.
Given the direction that the show is taking, I am "jumping ship" from the current era - and that's a good thing because it has finally given me the excuse to focus on these books. So far, i've collected 23, and going to get all 74. This is going to be my "new series",
I'm trying to get them all too but may have to read a few online cause they usually go for crazy money! So far I have 49...good luck with your search! :)
Good idea. Say what you will about both these and the Virgin Publishing run of books but they were at least made by fans for fans, no vain attempts to "reach a larger audience"
Got so many Past Doctor Adventures on my shelf but never been able to get through them before (VERY slow reader). Its a shame, cause the artwork for a lot of them is gorgeous - 'Bullet Time' being one of my favourites. Great video Blobfish. Also, thanks for the compliment about my reviews on TimeScales (I'm PalindromeRose). I honestly think the reason I've gotten 438 massive reviews out is a mix of determination, several ice coffees a day, and complete insomnia XD
@@tardisglitch547 actually this is a part of the eighth doctor adventures collection while the pollard collection is a part of big finishes monthly adventures
Thank you for showing these - I always say I’m going to listen to my favorite era of the show’s stories when I have time - but never seem to have time. These make me that much more intrigued!!!
2004 - 2013 are great. The early ones are just rubbish pictures. I used to spend a long time gazing at these covers, imagining the wonders of the story within.
Always preferred the alternative covers for this range with their era accurate logos. But the uniform look of Series 1-4 is just divine. Sadly the newer logo on Series 5 & 6 kinda ruin it for me, again, thankfully the alternative covers with the era accurate logos are far better.
It's a bit strange how they got rid of the sidebar in the alternate covers of Series 1-4. To me, it just makes them look a bit empty especially when it's just a plain white background.
the whole JTR thing is funny, because Abberline even said himself that the only reason they 'didn't catch him' was because they didn't want to start anti-Jew riots and the guy was a Jew. Now forget the Jew part, that means they (according to Abberline) knew who he was. Tbh, that only makes sense considering the ridiculousness of finding a guy hiding in the bushes outside of Mary Jane Kelly's apartment mere hours after her drawn out mutilation, oh and stuff like that one cop saying he saw a guy "huffing and puffing" in a rush from the direction of kill 1 in the direction of kill 2 on the double murder night. The fact that it is still a "mystery" is imo, totally forced by those who knew and quite probably those who know. It's one of the most ridiculous situations ever and when we've even gone through the trouble of DNA tests despite all of the above it does seem just a bit comedic. Anyway, unwarranted paragraph aside - I agree that is bloody weird about the seeds of death.
The Torchwood soundtrack fills me with life. Thanks for showcasing all the releases (up to that point anyway) gives me some to look into as I dive into the big finish Torchwood stuff 👍
Thank you for this 😊! My phone has been super slow in the Big Finish Website and I’m trying to make a list of all the Monthly Series after 100 I wanna catch up on.
