@@onenutnightmareman what an amazing time builder job :) but how much do they pay for beginners ? Or do they hire some who just got their CPL or how many hours do they require?
So fun man. Took off from that boat ramp many times in the 182, then flew the faithful beaver along the coast for a couple years. Thanks for having me along with this vid
The temperature of the water will kill you dead if anything broke on landing … personally would hug shoreline where swimming could conceivably get to shore .. and maybe survive
It us incredible to see how much wilderness you have in Canada and, partially, in the US. In west Europe we can only dream such places. Nice video and good that you have written reference on it. I have followed your flight on goggle maps! Glider pilot from south Switzerland here. Thanks. 🇨🇦 🇨🇭🇮🇹
Almost accepted a job as a survey Lilith and then decided to go the flight instructor route. Thanks for uploading this, I always wonder what the day to day life looks like!
Thank you for this video. I always wanted to see an actual survey flight in progress. You did just that it is definitely very interesting and it is a career path that seems very fun to build hours
I’ve been wondering about survey for so long now. Mostly, “why do people invest in that?” I’m from Madagascar (the island off the southeast corner of Africa) and aerial survey doesn’t exist here. We’re a little behind the rest of the continent. But you mentioned your company sometimes flies in Africa, which makes ne wonder even more: can’t we have that here as well? I’d understand if you aren’t able to name-drop. But could you maybe tell me what to google to find your company? I tried “international multiphysics aerial survey company Spain” and all I have left to ask is, does your company (name) have anything to do with King Arthur?
It does! I think you've found it! They've got an incredible team. Super organized. Top notch maintenance engineer team. They have a base in South Africa, too. Unless there is some sort of flight restriction or a lack of accommodation or maintenance resources, I'd guess a survey in Madagascar is possible. I just fly the plane. I'm not involved in any sort of client negotiations. However, clients could be looking for ground water, hydrogen, potassium, uranium, and pretty much any natural resource hidden in the ground.
Awesome stuff man. Looks like a great career path for all aspiring pilots. Great to see what you’re doing with your CPL. serious question though is whether this can be done by people with 2 nuts?
Ok, this is awesome. I am a surveyor in the Canadian Army and am looking into transitioning into becoming a civilian pilot soon. This would definitely be something I would like to pursue. So my question is: How do you go to the bathroom when you are in the air for that long? Haha
I love the video. Very excited about what I might do with my new pilots certificate. I’m just about ready to solo. So hopefully it won’t be too long till I get my license. And then I’ll start amassing hours. It’s a great idea! Also, I love the background music. What was the background song? It was really nice
