man im so passionate for medicine. However I come from a poor family so time is not on my hands. I’m on a gap year. Didn’t do uCAT in summer because I was sad about not getting in the first time. However I’ve decided it is my calling. There’s not a moment where I’m not thinking of medicine. So I have decided to embark again. It must have been quite disheartening to get 790 and not get in. How did you do so well in ucat?
A great video! Thanks so much Manisha! Hope you are good & had a wonderful Christmas!!!!!! I have a couple of Qs: 1. Can you do a movie monologue for the audition? 2. Did you know much about the early bird deadline and did you submit your audition? 3. Now your a member of NYT, what opportunities have been now given to you that you may not have had otherwise?
Wow I remember watching your videos back in the day and also watching your rejection and acceptance to medicine. Can't believe you are already in your 4th year!!! I remember feeling so emotional when you got accepted. Keep persevering and never give up Manisha!! You are truly a symbol of resilience. :)
Hello....we are from Devon and are going to London in December so I was checking musical theatre tickets and came across the video you did a few years ago when you were younger. We are definitely going to try lottery tip. Im actually just writing here to say THANK YOU for giving us these tips, I never knew about theatre lottery. As the person below said: 'so happy to see things are going well for you' and also how you have become a lovely lady.
Ah thank you so much that’s so kind of you. Glad the tips helped! There’s also now an app called TodayTix that’s quite good. You have to buy tickets on the day of the show but you can see shows for £25 and the seats are usually really good☺️
Hi Manisha, I just recently found your channel, after a disappointing results day. I'm in literally the same position as you were, a good few years ago, and I'm sure you know how disappointing, and hard and horrible it all feels. I really want to give it my all and resit my exams next year. On your other video, you said you made some online friends who were also resitting. Can I know how you made these friends? I'm in real need of some motivation rn... Also, I'm taking my UCAT (again!) in three weeks... Do you think that's enough time to do decently enough to get into some of the few med schools accepting resits? I know you barely know me, I'm a total stranger, but you probably know how alone it feels to be in this position, so any help or advice would be really appreciated. Also, congrats on your journey and this wonderful place you're in!! You're an inspiration :)
Hey I remember when you used to make these videos years ago! I'm really happy things are going well for you, thank you for all the help you've given myself and other people who've applied!
I would definitely use when breath becomes air in my statement because I want to do medicine after living with a chronic lung condition I discovered certain things during my research and gained certain skills that made me realise a lot of my experiences attributes and characteristics (empathy etc) meet medicine well. I also know how it feels to be the man in that book feeling short of breath unsure why…. Feeling scared every time I ended up in resus thinking I was about to die….. I relate to the book and thus it would work for me to be able to not only show my empathy to this man and my immense respect to his wife for finishing the book but I can actually put myself in his shoes
Omgg hey fellow two gap year bristol medic!! I remember watching your videos when I was on my gap years and feeling motivated to carry on with the process. Having just finished first year at Bristol I feel exactly the same - it was so worth it!! Best of luck with your remaining time and hopefully I bump into you at some point!
Hi Manisha! I’ve recently found your channel as I feel as if I’m going to be going down the same path as you with reapplying to med school and stuff and potentially resitting my A Levels (finding out on Thursday :’) ) and it is so helpful seeing someone who has been through it and made it out on the right side of med applications! Thank you for making these videos - it means the world. Good luck with fourth year of medical school!
Great to see you so happy and doing so well. I followed your journey and am now going into second year of med school myself. I’m loving it too! A study tips video or general how to do well at med school tips video would be great! Or what to expect year 2/3 because apparently it gets harder!
