I bought a few of these and accidentally left them where other people could tree reach them. The random person said "I closed your chairs, you just need to force it to make them close". HE BROKE THEM. Regular people just don't know how to close these and so they break them. I close mine by placing it on the ground on its back, that leaves the legs sticking out sideways. If you try to force it closed like normal camp chairs. YOU WILL BREAK IT. I talked to a few of the salesman at Camping World and they said they get tons of returns of these just broken. So just don't let other people touch them or try to close them and they're fine. Find mistakenly left some out at Burning Man this year with instructions for the people next to me to not touch them at all. I came back and they had folded them up. I think people see it as a fun puzzle and something to mess with. But at $90 each it's a big loss if somebody else breaks it, and apparently other people are COMPELLED to try to force this chair to close... and that breaks it.
Hi guys, great video. I hope you guys haven't sold your house. some type of framing will work around your sink, where it's not (visible).Sinks and drawers get pretty heavy (dirty dishes/silverware in drawers). Top of the line glue will help, too. Straps, or anything helping to push up the weight it'll do. Good luck, guys.
I just came from there 2 days ago. Hands down it was just ok. It's dry camping. The camp sites are uneven, you need a lot of leveling blocks. Very dry on upper camp grounds and very lush lower camp grounds. My dogs both got ticks. I had my RV so I was comfortable. It ok to sleep there but plan on exploring the surrounding area. Lots to see within 40 min up and down the coast. Had a wonderful time but the camp ground was horribly uneven. Shower and bathroom very clean.
Hey, I have a question when setting up the chair does the black plastic things have to lock into the steel bar and I’m talking about the part where your head would lay in the chair that main bar in the back mine keeps popping out of the bar
That's one of the things that happens when the chairs were not closed correctly. This isn't the thing I was referring to when I described other people breaking your chairs but if the chairs are closed in correctly then that bar in the back won't work again.
Do you know the size of the bolts? I need to put mine back on after having my roof resealed and the guy left before putting them back on. I am not sure if the bolts are still threaded through. Just in case I was wondering what the bolt size where and also do the washers have the grip up or down? Thank You!
Be careful around the Morro Bay campground and from Pismo Beach to Hearst Castle ...a few of the Calif State Park Rangers are overly aggressive , The campground is open 24 hours I was stopped by Ranger " B . E " as I drove into the campground in the early morning. He took 15 mins to run my drivers license and registration then he wrote me a $100 dollar ticket for " Non payment of camping fees " I explained to him he watched me drive into the park 15 mins ago and the normal procedure is find a empty space then write the space number on the after hours envelope then deposit that in the " Iron Ranger " or take your spot then wait till morning when the gate booth is open for payment by debit or credit card. And that is the job of the Campground host to tell people that at 7 am. that have not paid. Then he proceeded to ban me from the campground for 24 hours. While I was leaving I stopped at the gate pay booth to read the rules he pulled up on me again as I stood there and told me to get away from there I was banned from the park for 24 hours. My court date is written 4 months away from now for Grover Beach Court off Grand Ave. This seems way out of line to me I had done nothing wrong and was doing as any person wanting to go camp would do. So I would say to you be very careful but then again I had done nothing wrong...For those from out of town I don't think you would come back from your home town to pay for his overly aggressive ticket writing. I write this here to hopefully keep him from becoming more aggressive and maybe hurting someone or bringing a huge lawsuit against the City of Morro Bay . Calif State Park Ranger " K " is not far removed in her aggressive ticket writing ......anyone else have this problem ?
For everyone just tyring to get to the answer in this video.. Fast forward to around the 5:45 mark. Unless you're really into MTV Cribs style scene transitions.
They must have changed the rules since this was made. "Overview This very peaceful campground is the first campground on your right after our Entry Gate. It features 40 full hook-up sites offering 30 AMP electrical service, water, and sewage. No tents are permitted. "
Same thing happened to me. Used Loctite Max to remount the sink. used a car jack and couple of to raise the sink back into place and hold it there. Only use Loctite if you do not plan to replace the sink. Its a once and done deal ....will have to replace the entire countertop if I need to replace the sink again.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. We are in the process right now of figuring out what we want to do next. We are tired of setting up a tent and want to move to something like this. Really thinking about a pop-up camper but this video really has us thinking about the hybrid. I think what you touched on about still being able to hear nature is a big thing for us. Thanks again!
How crazy…. I searched ‘loose sink from countertop rv’ and your video came up first & I happen to have the EXACT same trailer haha. Thanks for posting!
Mine ended up coming off again. This time it was just one side. The sink in my DRV is a full sized residential 70/30 split sink, just thinners steel. Given the weight capacity of a full sized sink youd think they would be sure tonfasten it properly. Nope! DRV saw no need for fasteners. They simply used adhesive. The second time it began to come off was down to my failure to remember its only glued on. I filled the small side 3/4 full with super hot, not boiling, water to soak and sanitize some items. As the water filled I heard a pop. At the time I didn't think anything of it. I assumed it was the sink or drain merely expanding. Which is precisely why adhesion failed. The steel sink was expanding against the cool ridgid quartz popped the adhesive. As I came down the steps to make coffee the next morning I noticed the gap. I failed to notice it the night before because the countertop was not cut properly. The countertop overlaps just enough to create a shadow when the lights are on. My advice to all those with sinks absent of mechanical fasteners must avoid weight and heat. I was lucky the sink didn't fall out while it contained near boiling water as I was standing there lifting items in and out of the water using tongs. I could have been burned if the sink fell out.
