OverlandEd, I am preparing to do the 13WL upgrade for my '00 v6 4runner and have two questions so far: 1. Have you had any ABS issues with the 13WL upgrade? (There is some scuttlebutt on forums about this so considering 13WE instead) 2. I will upgrade the soft lines to stainless steel and the vendor asked if I wanted to bypass the caliper side hard line with a longer flexible line. Would you do this? Once again, thank you so much for your videos and advice!
Great video. Hi how well has the gauge wire you used holding up. I am planning to run a line to the back for rear cargo area and trying to see what gage will be adequate. Thanks
This is the video i have be looking for so long! Would you be able to show a wiring tutorial for the chase lights? Thanks for the great video and insight
Beautiful truck! 3rd and 5th gen are said to be the best generations. I love the 3rd gen. I have 99 4WD limited w/ E locker. Bought the truck with the Caliper upgrade. It’s squeaking and a little spongy, not sure if that’s normal. Going to rebuild the calipers, or I may just have my mechanic do it. Yours is super clean. Ok thanks for the vid
I like your videos! I got several ideas from this one! I am a novice at modifications and inexperienced as a mechanic so the more detail you put in the better for me! Don't hesitate to show every step in my opinion!
Can you explain why you didn't want to end the rear breathers in the gas filler area? Were there any major cons? Placing the end-breather here seems much easier.
How did you get the antenna cable to stay in the windshield channel? Is there anything actually holding it in the channel, or is it mostly laying there. Great install vid though, thanks!
didnt you just show hooking up to the starter battery ? why not just plug in the 12v socket and use while driving ? or are you adding a second battery and dc dc charger ?
I kept having issues with air leaking at the hose to valve connection and zip ties didn't help so I gave up and used my backup tool....my wife LoL! Two person is so much quicker and easier in my opinion.... doesn't take that long and I don't need to deal with hose to valve connection that simply won't seal correctly....
I own the SSO roof rack. Do you know what the specs of the bolts you used to mount the awning are? I tried to match the t-bolts included but local hardware stores don't seem to know what they are
For anybody watching this video, stick an extension with the proper torques fitting on, heat it with a torch for a bit. That way you don’t get near your car or rack, then back it out…… This video made me cringe
Nice job, thanks. Do you have 2 batteries? if so, do you have a video of that install? And how long can you refrigerator run before the batteries disconnect from low voltage ?
Great video. I want to mount the iceco sliding tray so something like this may work to hold that down. Then you can slide out both so the lid will open unobstructed.
The things the shop DOES NOT tell you when you get a lift kit installed. So glad I stumbled on this video! In your honest opinion, what is the worse case scenario if you do not do this install on a lifted 4Runner? I currently run the BP-51s and 285s and obviously stock panhard hah!
