I just discovered your channel. You do a very good job explaining the process..I also really appreciate the links to the hardware..Great job!

Side note, those factory splash guards tend to rot away right around the three to four year mark. I have a 2018 and they disintegrated last fall, I replaced them with ARK Splash guards and boy were they worth it. They cover more of the engine bay too.

I’ll check those out. I bought splash guards for my 3rd Gen from Rad Rubber, but I’ll check out those you recommend too.

From looking at the thumbnail you could definitely use the panhard correct kit from dr kdss.

Did you allow extra hose length to account for the rear axle articulation on the rear diff breather.

You bet!

Can you explain why you didn't want to end the rear breathers in the gas filler area? Were there any major cons? Placing the end-breather here seems much easier.

Great video! What did you do about the front diff, transfer case, and transmission breather?

The front diff breather is better placed from factory is actually right next to the engine cover

Great Video, especially showing step by step process. Do you think there’s a possibility of cross contamination by joining both lines to a T- joint?

Any reason you didn't use a pre made 3 way ( T ) barb ?? Seems simpler and same in the end. good angle on the video shots.. nice job.

Do you have a snorkel? I was told Safari makes good ones but I haven’t done much research.

Like your content, I was wondering did you give yourself enough length of hose at the differential, to compensate for the up down travel of the differential? thanks Steve.

Pretty sure I did. I’ve articulated the rear axle quite a bit without issues so far.

Hey, im always watching ur vidz and learning new things to create and add to my trail premium. But my question is why create this particular mod?..what exactly does it help?
@theoverlanded
@theoverlanded Год назад
This modification is particularly useful for off-road vehicles like the 5th Gen 4Runner that are often driven through water crossings. By relocating the differential breather, you can help prevent water from entering the differential and causing damage.

Thanks. Makes sense. I'll add it

yes- good videos ----question- have you already done the other breathers? AND, have you 'coated' your frame in any way?
@theoverlanded
@theoverlanded Год назад
The breathers for the front diff, etc. are already high enough for me in the engine bay.

You may or may not know this, I am looking to confirm if the front diff and transfer case breathers are two way? I understand they are located up higher, but if they are one way, then they have the same issue the rear one has of potentially sucking in water through the seals etc. I can't confirm from anyone on any thread regarding the front valves. They all "think" it's two way. Any help would be appreciated

Great video. It’s my next mod. Did you use all 12 feet? I have that hose in a 10’ length. Would it be sufficient?
@theoverlanded
@theoverlanded 11 месяцев назад
I was cutting it close with the 12’ with the hose routing described in the video.

@theoverlanded
@theoverlanded 11 месяцев назад
@Treetopflyer777 you can probably get from the front to the union connector in the back with the 10’. You might need to pick up a short piece to connect the union to the rear diff.
