I'm sorry, I have been playing this for awhile now and I never realized you could just vent unwanted gasses from a line with a single sensor, a not gate, and a vent instead of a complicated or power-using filter setup???? I always thought that the sensor would trigger immediately and not for the *next* packet.
Quick questions: About to capture natural gas. In the main line have 3 smart batteries for coal, natural gas, petrolium. U need smart batteries connected to each power transformers? For bigger ones how much u need? If u can choose would u capture gold or iron volcano? No steel production yet. But i have to choose which one i go first. Case limited iron atm How to make natural tiles? I want relocate my great hall and bathrooms cause heat creap and gas problems. Have pips to plant.
Quick note on the number of steam turbines you use, I believe, and will test tomorrow to make sure, that an aquatuner cooling polluted water puts out almost exactly 2/3 of the heat that a self cooled steam turbine can handle. Hopefully that can help give an idea of how many steam turbines you need.
im further then ive ever gotten by far, and i'm getting much more comfortable with the aquatuner/steam turbine setup having messed it in every possible way i'm pretty sure LOL!!! I'm breaking into rockettttsssssss - nothing will stop me from completing now, thanks largely to your videos, but also your personal replies to me on so many of your videos!!! You are a champion!! :)
The reason nobody has fun is because developers always screw up games. Not just this game. This is why devs need to consider where feedback is coming from. They listen to feedback from power levelers/late gamers who have beaten the game many times. They aren't aren't interested in playing the game. They are only interested in bypassing the game to get to later parts of the game. Or "late game". Then complain to developers saying that there is stuff in the early game that is too "tedious". Because late gamers already know they can get past it and just don't want to deal with it. Which ends up ruining the game for the vast majority of users. For this game in particular, the issue is disease. If the game was properly balanced, you could not just go into other locations without masks. And you would have to properly setup bathrooms and sanitation at the start. So why tf don't you need proper sanitation at the start? Why tf can you just stripmine slime biomes with no mask? Because the devs made changes to the "default" setting of game that made it easier and not fun. Just meaningless. Oxygen masks have been undermined to be meaningless if you can just strip mine slime biomes with no problem. Proper sanitation of bathroom/sink is meaningless if there's no consequence. This should not be default setting, but an easy mode setting. Therefore, you have no choice, but to bump up the disease setting at the start in order to get a proper balanced default. If you don't at least bump up disease setting, it will undermine the fun of the game. Meaningless disease at default setting for the purpose of catering to late gamers is the biggest issue of this game right now. Due to ruining the game for actual legitimate users. Bottom line - playing to bypass the game = not fun. Get a nice early game setup. Get a nice midgame setup. Actually play each stage of the game to keeping your sims happy and healthy. Another thing is that Spaced Out owners like to play on Moonlet Cluster starting on Metallic Swamp. Because that is the expansion content. There just isn't much info on it for complete beginners. And yes beginners that never played before who bought Spaced Out will indeed be starting their first play on Metallic Swamp. And rightly so if they paid for the expansion. Also to clear up some huge misconceptions in videos like this - never start with a digger or constructor specialist. What is important is that your three starters just don't have a penalty in digging/constructing. As long as all three starters can do it normally. Researcher is a good idea to start. And rancher guarantees that you will be able to handle critters without depending on the possibility of a rancher later. Cook is also a good idea. It is a really bad idea to go for digger/constructor at start. These are need later. At the start, it is more important to try to not have penalties that have an effect even if minor. Bladder is something that has an effect. Not able to ranch is insignificant on anybody who isn't a rancher. Because it has no effect at all. Basically, not only do you not need digger/constructor at the start - you should avoid getting those. Do not listen to anybody suggesting to get digger/constructor as your starting three. One thing that is correct is that probably the most common difficulty for everybody is mid-game cooling. Before you can get a more sustainable cooling system.
This is by far THE BEST guide I've seen. I started a random survival map and I have EVERYTHING in the steps mentioned and I've reached this point FOR THE FIRST TIME in this game. Thanks so far and I will continue
I encountered an issue. You use the Conveyor Rail Thermo Sensor in your midgame builds, but it's locked behind the orange "Crash Plan" Data analysis Research -> "Solid Management" I know, there are a few databank's in the world from inspecting POV's but.... well I spend mine on different ... stuff... <.< (Dydrocarbon Propulsion)
Hey hey, this advice is mainly for the base game. If you have Solid Management research it means you're playing Spaced Out. I do have some videos for setting those systems up (mainly my Spaced Out walkthrough here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MjnkYMpNG8M.html)
Swear I copied this build and the steam never seems to go above 98* so the steam turbines don’t turn on. I even tried with 2 coolant tuners. Not sure what I’m missing
Is the volcano active and putting out metal? It may take a little while to boil the water. Also, are you using insulated pipes for your aquatuners, and insulated tiles on the outside?
@@Magnet_MD the volcano had just finished erupting and went dormant so there was some hot copper in there but maybe it needs to be actively going to start it?
Videos like these are what got me into oni, im about 300 hours in and loving the complexity of the mechanics in this game, hopefully ill be done my achievements soon, thank you magnet <3!
I have about 3k hours into the game and I just finally made liquid hydrogen and oxygen to reach the temporal tear. What usually defeats me and causes me to give up on my colony is the lag I get on my older laptop.
In that case I'd recommend a shine bug reactor for power. I used it in my Max Difficulty run recently if you wanted to check it out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8mwNPEq0eU4.html
I keep getting to video about 19/20/21 in your 2023 full walkthrough and having issues that make me rage quit and restart. Today my frustration is caused by getting 2 aqua tuners running at the same time before the steam is hot enough for the steam turbine to kick on. I’m guessing I need one to start at a time but it seems to take forever for the steam to heat up to 125* .
It does take a little bit. You can dump warmer water into the chamber to reduce the time it takes, or use warmer water for your coolant area so the aquatuners stay on for longer. As long as the aquatuners are safely running, the rest will take care of itself :)
or the hot polluted water gets pumped into an insulated pool instead of into space. It can be cooled by warming a slush geyser which is necessary anyway to warm it since refining it into water requires warming it anyway.
i know youve said it in one of your previous videos but i cant seem to find it now.. what does spom mean? im guessing its some sort of oxygen setup but cant figure it out
For steel production, I personally use the water from my electrolyzer and loop it until it reaches above 60°C, then i delete the heat by turning it into oxygen :) On Frosty DLC, i do the same with nectar before turning it into plastic
Thanks a lot for the video! I have completed everything described in the video in few saves already. It is actually the step after this that is most challenging to me! I have done only a little rocketry and its quite a tricky one to tackle. There are quite many guides to that already but somehow I'm stuck. Especially the part of making a rocket into a place where it is not hit by meteors. Also rocket interiors have developed quite much since the new storage.
