Seeing the dupes with different/dyed hair colors makes me wish that ONI had that as an option in the cosmetics pool! Still loving this series and the fun edits, keep it up!
Yaaaayyyyyyy my quote will be in the legacy book forever!!🎉🎉🎉😄 😂Thanks for chosing it magneta and magnet.❤ Edit: Just realised you even made my profile picture with an "emoji", this detail just made my day, keep up with the good work.
"I'm not mad, this is just how my face looks"... Me too, Max, me too. RBF is real, and it's a struggle. XD Aww, I felt the disappointment in those vents, lol. Seriously, of all things, oi. Fun stuff. Best of wishes to you and yours!
26:06 this seems rather dangerous. The Sanishells will produce a lot of eggs, which will fill this room with a ton of Sanishells as well as eggs, causing them to become hostile and attack every dupe that goes through there.
@@Magnet_MD don't worry, we all make mistakes. For example I once had like all my Airlocks fail on me at once. (I use modded automated airlocks, which are 3x2 in size. And since they are convenient to use, reliable, cheap and easy to build, I use them pretty much everwhere I need an airlock.) The only problem: Their power outlet is in the middle of the door and it won't open without power, meaning you'll need to build the wire first or you won't be able to get in there to build it. So I was work with a vulcano and a bunch of Biobots stepped in the lava, heated up to 500+ degrees, went through the airlocks and managed to melt the lead wires. The Airlocks themselve store 10 KJ of power so it didn't become appearant immediately. When I finaly found out, pretty much all my airlocks had powered down with dupes being stuck all over the place. (Thanks to exosuits I didn't lose any but it certainly took a lot of time to repair everything.) I now only use tungsten for wires inside my doors lol.
ok so i'm back on track (not that anyone probably even is aware of my strugglebus lol), but omg i got carnivore and locavore wrapped up this time! woohoo! Also: "Bubbles 4 prez!"
@@Magnet_MD i didnt get the seed working properly so i decided to just wing it and play along anyway with my slightly different map. im at about cycle 60 or so and about to divide my colony. i just planted the imposter aloe vera oxygenater thingies, so hopefully my oxygen situation will start improving - my mammoth guys though seem to be starving even though they have the same number of squashes theyve always had, and are very slow at producing eggs now - at what age do you scrap your starter rancher mammoth (bammini?) dudes becuase you know they cant produce anymore? im thinking i might need to kill one or two off and trade them for the youngs - i also managed to keep a handful of them wild, somehow. i had 8 ranches going so i blew through carnivore - was food secure early enough that i was able to prohibit them from eating anything that wasnt barbecue or pemmican so it went quickly. current challenges: need another cooker who wants to be a cooker, and more builders. its been nice finding a tribe of people here who i feel like im getting to know vicariously through watching your streams and watching peoples comments etc. :)
The Hydrogen vent can help produce power until you get Super Sustainable, some of which can be used to distill a bunch of ethanol to get polluted dirt for your sani-shells and c02 for your Alveo Veras. From Ranching Flox, you are already getting wood that can be distilled into ethanol and burned at the kiln to make coal [and thus refined carbon], so with eggshell, and the iron volcano, you have steel. flush toilets [or even a shower room] will give you polluted water to sieve into water to put into the ice maker to make ice and snow to fertilize your Alveo Veras and eventual bonbon trees. Add to that condensing your steam vent and the Pwater from the Petroleum generators [after super-sustainable] and you have your water and thus Ice/snow sustainability. The P water can be kept in an open pool to gas off [like you did in your super-max run] until needed to make ice and snow [just dump the toilet overflow right into a sewer capped with deodorizers] and only sieve when you need more ice or snow. The sand or all this filtration comes from bammoth poo. you are already crushing it into clay and phosphorite, bake the clay into ceramic, then crush the ceramic into sand So technically, your hydrogen vent is food and oxygen, by providing the power needed to run these rube-goldberg machines. The Dupes not running on wheels can do the crushing, ice making and other tasks that cannot be done with auto-sweepers.
@@Magnet_MD And even when 2x2 they can quite happily get themselves stuck in smaller spaces, either by growing up there or by being wrangled and then dropped into a single-tile-wide shaft by a dupe abandoning a task halfway. I've had to dig them out a lot... though not as much as wild floxes which seem to LOVE getting themselves stuck in pre-existing tiles somehow? I have two in farm tiles and one in the wall of a room right above the door, possibly more I haven't spotted yet. I'm just leaving them to die of old age, it's their own fault lol.
can you tell me where i can get info on the automation for the ranch egg set up? i thought it was mentioned in one of these frosty videos but i can't find it. do they get dropped off first before the other ranch products go through to the main drop off spot?
I sort of glossed over it in the videos, sorry about that. I have a much more detailed version here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_rNvoLgVhRA.html
Also, I realize that the video I linked doesn't do the exact same thing (it only covers 1 egg overflow room), so I can write it out in text if you'd like: Each room for the eggs (if you're shipping multiple types of eggs on the same line) needs a few things: 1 - A critter sensor and a conveyor rail element sensor connected together with an AND gate. That AND gate is checking to see "do I need more eggs in this overflow room, AND is the egg on the rail right now the egg that I want?" If both of those are true, the AND gate should open the conveyor chute and the egg you want should drop out (assuming the rail element sensor is on the space before the chute). 2 - A critter pick-up. This should be connected by automation so that any of your ranches will send a green signal to it if they are below capacity. 3 (Nice to Have) - A setup to ship the eggshells (or whatever else might result in them dying there), this would just be an auto sweeper and a conveyor loader set to accept everything except eggs. I'm also realizing I need to make another automation-specific video because I don't feel like there's enough general coverage on that right now.
