Gen 9: All wild pokemon are seen in the overworld, compared to gen 8 where you can still encounter pokemon in the grass Can relearn moves anytime (removal of move relearner/reminder npc Can open boxes anytime (removal of PC) Can craft TMs (but reverted back to 1-time use only)
True! But I went into great detail about the bag, including this change, in part 2 of this series which is out now on my channel! :) thanks for watching!
@JoeyParksHere No I haven't. I always hoped they would remake Gold and Silver since I heard Fire red and Leaf green were good but I never bought another handheld system and too much time passed for me to care enough to buy it
Gen 5: low hp: ambulance sound Last gin leader's pokemon: epic song Wild spots: find gen (in caves), wild rare pokemons Plaza: build your own shop and upgrade it, to hatch eggs faster, improve pokemon's evs, buy rare itens... Nimbasa's training arena: everyday you can fight and get some itens with trainers to level up faster. New gin mechanics/puzzles: new animations and challenges with 3d effects Gen 5 is one of my favourites (gen 2 is pure nostalgic)
Its crazy to think that the Underground in DPP is the reason I just stopped playing it as a teen, I found it so stupid, and nothing to do with Pokemon, it made me legit mad that such a waste of time was in the game. I shut it off and didn't play it again until last week, 18 years later. And really the best games in the entire series get like 10seconds of coverage?
Unova was based on America, not just in NYC. X and y were based on Europe, not just France. Gen 6 made it so electric types cannot be paralyzed. When I think of any more, I will edit this.
I don’t think your first 2 points are true lol. Tho it is true that Unova was based on New York State as a whole, not just the city Thanks for watching!!
@@JoeyParksHere That's weird. Speaking of new pokémon, I really wish they'd make another Eevee and no I'm not talking about an Eevee evolution. I'm talking about another pokémon that starts off pretty basic but can evolve into a variety of different things. Why is Evie the only pokémon that can do that? It doesn't make sense to me.
i will say this ... just make one GIANT pokemon mmo WITH EVERYTHING INCLUDED all maps all connected.. all gyms ... IT WOULD BRING BACK OLD PLAYERS SUCH AS MYSELF TO FINALLY CATCH UP TO THE NEWER STUFF... AN WE WILL HAVE STUFF WE CAN HAVE POKEMON WE CAN RELATE WITH LOL....
27:28 ultra Sun and ultra Moon aren't even sequels to Sun and Moon. It's just the same game all over again. I got pissed off when I found that out when I actually played ultra sun. I hadn't even finished moon but I was expecting ultra Sun to not just be sun all over again. But it really was it started out exactly the same. I never bothered to finish that one at all.
20:54 bringing in fairy type I believe was one of the best things they had ever done in the series. Sometimes it really felt like dragon type was just way too overpowered because they only had weaknesses to dragon and ice. And then on top of that they made the fairy type have weaknesses to steal and poison which in turn made other types the steel and poison types more useful. Poison pokémon honestly suck really bad and there wasn't very much that they were super effective against but making them super effective against the dragon killers that are fairy type was a very smart move. Steel type being super effective against fairy also made so much sense because what steel type was great at was the fact that they took reduced damage from a lot of other attacks but they weren't super effective against very many other types. Very type really helped balance the game more. It is kind of weird how some pokémon who were never fairy type before ended up being fairy type but it does make sense they would do that so that more pokémon would be fairy type instead just only new ones.
19:03 I'm so glad they actually did the unlimited uses of TMs. It was something I didn't realize I needed since I actually started with first generation when I was a kid in the '90s but when I finally got to have unlimited uses of TMs in generation 5 I was like wow I'd even realize what I was missing out on. I remember in a battle against a then friend of mine on FireRed and leaf Green when I gave like all my pokémon hyperbeam but I had to spend $7,500 polka dollars on each hyper beam TM. That cost me a fortune in that game. I don't remember how much a hyper beam TM cost now It's obviously a lot more expensive since it's permanent instead of one time use
18:10 I didn't really care about those camera angles. They did nothing with it except zoom out when going across a bridge that I mean I felt was really unnecessary to be in the game. Honestly that's just how I felt. 18:21 honestly with the fact that when you go to indigo plateau in the very first pokémon game the pokémon Center there is also a Mart, you would think that since they already had done it once in that game they should have just had that always been the case right from the get-go in every single game instead of having to wait until 5th generation for to be in every town
16:27 Oh I wish you mentioned Voltorb flip. I had way more fun playing Voltorb flip than ever playing any slot machine and any pokémon game before it. And I love the music there too was so good.
I like how you added the Pokédex up with each new gen but I wish you added the exact total in each as well that were actually in each game that would’ve been cool.
I literally have no idea what you’re trying to say about skipping thousands. The way you’d say that number is the exact way I said it And it’s wild to me how people will comment about how I’m wrong without looking at the screen where I corrected the misspeak 😭😭 Thanks for watching anyway have a good day bro
@@JoeyParksHere tens < hundreds < thousands < millons < tens of millions < hundreds of millions < thousand of millions < billions, anglo countries usually skip the thousand millions (like that song from The Boys) and go straight into billions
Look we just must be from different parts of the world lol. But I’m not wrong in my pronunciation there, that’s how I’ve always known to say numbers. We don’t say “one thousand millions” we say “one billion.” But they’re the same thing, I guess. A thousand millions = a billion
LOL bro. For the number 1,234,567,891 you say, “one billion, two hundred and thirty four million, five hundred and sixty seven thousand, eight hundred and ninety one.” There’s no way you’re trying to tell me you say “one thousand million, two hundred and thirty four million… etc” You’re so confidently wrong on this it’s WILD
I only wish for 3 thing's in gen 10: 1) the presence of the national dex, and by this I mean I want all, ALL, the pokemons. 2) return to Megas, more cool and simple. 3) return of the "life like" world, I want day, night, summer, sprint, fall and winter.
In Gen 2 there was a way to have another player's roster copied so you can battle VS them. Once defeated you you would also earn money. I would do that constantly for the money 🤭
I was waiting for you to mention the fact that starting with generation 2, you can run. And starting with leaf green / fire red, you could bike in the gateways between routes, and from black and white onwards you can run in buildings
You didn't mention HMs at all. Adding new ones, and the eventual removal from the game, it's one of the biggest and most important changes across the series.
I swear people should stop using the word controversy and start calling it what it truly is.... crying over dumb reasons. Cause controversy is just an excuse to cry over something so small😂😂😂😂
I assume you’re talking about dexit? And naw man that was a HUGE deal! A major appeal of Pokémon for a lot of people was catching all the Pokémon/the huge variety of Pokémon. Especially for a series that had already been dwindling in quality, yet selling record numbers, for years. But that’s just my 2 cents!
@JoeyParksHere I actually meant in general and I literally mean small things unless it's something like micro transactions(I don't necessarily mean dlc more like loot boxes etc. Since if I love a game I don't mind the dlc too much) and as for the dex that it might be something small to me but I get it as I don't mind trying to catch or read all entries. But for me something small would be like source material(since if I read a book(more like audible) I wouldn't want want an exact copy. Or stuff like the game Is too long then too short, too many side quests the not enough, too many enemies then not enough. Or some like if they decide to cast a different race or something they'll complain it's not source material etc. Finally I'm the type if I don't like something I move on to the next thing not to mention my bar is nonexistent when it comes to games movies etc. Now there are some stuff I don't play/watch but it doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad whatever it's something I might not be into like first person shooter gta etc but just because I don't like doesn't mean their bad. The only way I think of something as bad/awful everyone has to agree. If at least 3(playing it safe here) then I don't consider it bad. When I made that comment I wasn't aiming at anything in the video except the word since it's getting around like not tomorrow. And it's usually something so small
