AAA developer gone indie and sharing his creative journey on Dawnfolk.
I upload devlogs about my life as a full-time indie game developer and show the entire development process for my games, so that you can follow the project from the first concept all the way up to release! I'm currently working on Dawnfolk, a Ghibli inspired city builder about bringing back light to the world for Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch.
I might also post some video with tips and tricks, tutorials to learn about creating video games, market and publish video games, making games with Godot, Game Design, how to get into game development, how to pitch your game and how to get a publisher for your indie game, etc...
If you can learn something or get extra motivation to create games from my videos, I'll be thrilled!
Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my videos.
@@darenn-keller Hi Mr! Sorry I did not want to be unrespectrul! You are a great GameDev! I just cant neglect the fact, you always remembers me for Harry Potter. I swear you could be his Twin or stunt double. :D
@@darenn-keller I'm a journalist for The Maelstrom Hold and we would love to do a feature on this game , if that is something that could be done ,I'd love to discuss it further
@@MaelstromHold Sure feel free, the steam page with demo is in the description. You'll also find a website (link on the steam page) with a small press kit. Thank you for the interest!
Hey! I am watching your video right now, the music is kinda louder than your voice it bugs me off lol, I am interested in what you are saying, the music is cool but it should be a background only. BTW the MainMenu UI is amazing, the game is very original and cool aswell, reminds me of Anno the board game (haven't played the video game)

As a solo indie developer, it's hard finding time to add accessibility features to my game. But it's important, so I'll do my best to make Dawnfolk as accessible as I can. 😊 🙏Play the demo and wishlist on steam: store.steampowered.com/app/2308630/Dawnfolk/
Man Dawnfolk looks incredible! The blend of charmingly dark aesthetics with the minimalist survival city-builder concept is truly unique. The idea of collecting resources and rebuilding your realm tile by tile while protecting settlers from shadows sounds both challenging and captivating. I'm particularly intrigued by the mystery of the monoliths-can’t wait to uncover those secrets! By the way, I've been navigating the ups and downs of game development myself. Currently, I'm working on a minimalist 2D platformer and documenting the journey on my channel. If you’re interested in the development process and the challenges I face, feel free to check it out ^_^ Thanks for sharing such an inspiring trailer!
I'm excited to finally properly announce my game: Dawnfolk! You might already know it as "Lueur and the Dim Settlers", its previous name. I hope you like the new title, key art and trailer. 😊 Play the demo and wishlist the game on steam: store.steampowered.com/app/2308630/Dawnfolk/
