I would say we need a cottage industry that connects new employment & temporary shelter. But, I think it kinda exists already in the form of nonprofits & a significant amount of homeless are choosing to not use it.
If they want too know tell them find a sleeping bag And go live on the street learn from experience Cant learn from a book how to sleep on a cold path Ive been the homeless man🙏 Some of the homeless this son could say there the salt of the earth Would gladly sit on the floor and speak to them Respected 🙏

They say you go to heaven when you suffer with god in your life. If I keep on selling my time/soul for money for a place to live in comfort im sure im on my way to hell myself bros. You're going to be ok and Im so grateful that you guys share these stories with us and how to handle it. You guys are the real heros you cannot trick me into thinking your "normal" every day worker is making this world a better place. All we do is create garbage and scam other innocent people for their own gain. Its a shame but i always think to myself ACCEPTANCE, nothing happens on God's earth for no reason. Why these travelling motels I have such a good reputation in don't transfer into affordable housing. When your payment is prompt, you are polite and your room is clean, transitional housing when available without having to liquidate your own deposit money just to qualify for 'services'
In two days I will be homeless. With God's help I will stay sober. I intend to live on trails. I will come into town for resupply, and a shower at the VA.
yea being homeless for 2 years you learn to love it. like to me I was free as I ever was. I could do whatever I wanted go wherever I wanted. I sometimes miss being homeless even after so long like its a call that tells me to come home. we miss you.

My son is goi by to be a year old this month and we’ve been looking for a home this whole time. But no one will take us due to a credit score of 620. My fiancé and my baby are in desperate need. We’re very scared to lose our son. All I ever wanted in my life was a family. I have Ill have nothing to lose after that. We became homeless because our landlord killed himself it was fiancés best friend he lived upstairs and we lived in the downstairs apartment. Went through a bad divorce and he killed himself on my birthday. His ex wife sold the house and the new owners wanted to use the house and not keep us there. It's a hard lonely feeling. I've been there myself more than I even care to remember. I remember how hard it was the first night of being on the streets. I was sitting in a fast food restaurant had no money nobody to call had no idea where I was going to sleep or how I would survive. It was the loneliest feeling in the world and the longest night of my entire life. I basically just sat there hungry and worried out of my mind just waiting to be kicked out. When I finally was told to leave I just wandered around all night long cold damp and hungry like a stray dog. I came to an old abandoned building and went around to the backside of it and sat down on some steps and just waited for daylight to come.
Iam 20 and i was homeless for a year in reno i got into 2 fights one a dude tried taking my back pack and the other one was because the dude sprayed his beer in my friend's face
My family from Mexico laugh at homeless people here in the United States because they're so entitled but my mom said she came the USA homeless and within a week she got a job in agriculture working 60 hours at 100 degrees and within a month got a car and apartment. 😂 She also said in Mexico the homeless have jobs because they have to work or die
I got lucky when I was in my late teens to my early 20s because I got really addicted to some of the hard stuff. Now in my 30s, I'm living a drug-free/debt-free life and now support a family of 3, earning enough to provide for my Family.
The thing that made a huge difference for me when I was homeless was having a safe place to sleep, a job and somewhere to shower. I found the safest place to sleep was in the woods, I showered at the local gym and worked two jobs.
As part of the homless community we know too well what its like to struggle And and take beatings from life and people and don't want anyone to have anyone else struggle with everything as we do even worse so this Really sucks alot I am a crimal history so no housing because of a drug convection because I was homless tell me all this isn't a revoling door I will never be able to get outta this position iam in lose lose lose and thats what society and my family dosent help guess that's just life for for someone who dosent matter to anyone

@BeerGod 40oz I am in Sydney Australia, and since the election have consumed at least 5-6 hours of US politics per day, largely TYT, D Packman, Damage Report and such, along with Racheal Maddow et al + some newsmax and fox to see what the idiots are up to, so I have an understanding of US in general. The deep divide between red and blue in the US is scary, republican lie mongering is actually gaining traction even though most of the brainwashed are far removed from the actual interests and money that shore up the interests of the far right. Even when we see the occasional politician or a court in some state that signals a need to actually focus and remedy homelessness, it more than often falls on deaf ears. Wasn't it only recently in California that a court clearly stated what needs to be done? What saddens many of us the most, is that far too often, we see footage of people blithely walking past past people in need. I recall one youtube video of a guy offering "free money", a rich guy not only snatched the bundle of bills but essentially told the guy to fuck off or violence would ensure, he repeated this again with homeless people, and they said if he could spare a few dollars they would be overjoyed, not a single one asked for the whole bundle (a hundred dollars). Easy to say that faith in humanity will prevail eventually, but when you see what Trump provoked Jan 6th, the fact republicans will block anything BIden does, and the very real voter suppression bills, is it any wonder many of us outside the US see full blown civil war and authoritarianism as a real possibility? I am sure a few times in my life I have walked by someone in need and not cared or realized, but I am thankful that I can be touched and have done in my time many things to remedy the equation, yet still, I am fearful that society can fall yet further, it has happened before. I do not believe in God, so leave that out, I do hope that somehow the majority of Americans remember that surely our angels do have a better part. No one ever deserved to be homeless, not a single one of them ever chose such a condition I am sure.
