I fitted the Ohlins without the piggyback reservoir because they look like the original shocks and are cheaper than the piggybacks. I am very happy, its such an improvement over stock! Hope yours work well too Cheers
It’s in the description £8650 EBay www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165979018484?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=0V0hqzagQZS&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=0V0hqzagQZS&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
That's why I've not bought a classic triumph, Triumph are taking the piss with them, like you said 12 grand and the suspension is shit! And it needs exhaust and remapping to get the best out of it, Come on Triumph you can do better.
Hi mate, from down under 🇦🇺, I've ordered a new Speed twin 1200 and have pre optioned the YSS shocks that you added. I'm pleased that you think the difference is night and day having already spent the money myself. I'd love it if you could give an honest walk around before you sell it and discuss all the good things, and the things that could be improved and what you would have done to make this bike spectacular from your time on the ST1200. enjoying your vids btw.
TBH the main thing is the suspension. The seat is too hard and I wish they’d given it a seat like the 80’s T140 Bonnevilles. The headlamp is utter rubbish. Fortunately I rarely ride in the dark but on those rare occasions I do, it would be nice to see where I’m going. Otherwise no complaints. TBH if I wasn’t emigrating I’d probably keep it but having done some big days on it and toured on it (you can do both but I’m getting older now and want more comfort) I want something more conducive to that kind of biking. I’m moving to France and am four hours away from the Pyrenees and can be in the Alps within a day. Not to mention the vast playground all around me. The ST is a great bike but I want wind protection again and a bit more room.
@hollowaysteve thanks mate, I've made upgrades to almost everything you've suggested except the headlight, so I might invest in an LED bulb, or a new headlight. Enjoy the French mountains mate, and I look forward to being jealous of your RU-vid rides around your new home.
