Thanks for the dressing Scott. Tyed it last night and gave it a run on Corrib today as middle dropper. It caught two, it will be getting a swim next day out. 😀 BTW. I used blue guinea fowl as head hackle and put a red arse on it rather than the claret butt...Can't leave good enough alone 🙄🤣

Hi Brian, if you practice and keep practicing you will become consistent over time but it’s all about the hours you spend at the vice. Don’t give up eventually it will all come together 🧵🧵 Hope this helps 👍🏻👍🏻
Great Salmon fly Scott! I have never jumped onto the UV resin band wagon myself. It just seems that once a fly has been chewed on a few times and the resin is gone there is nothing left to protect the thread.

I’m on a “Bleach Feathers” mission.. I’ve been warned against using actual bleach because it makes the feathers brittle.. Have you noticed that at all..? I bought a bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide for hair bleaching which seems to involve much faffing about. your method seems much easier..🤔

If you are bleaching or dying after rinsing I slather hair conditioner over the materials and put them in a plastic bag for a day. Remove and rinse again, it will help keep materials supple.
Rivers are okay at the minute 🤞🏻🤞🏻 however their do need to sort it as quickly as possible but when your dealing with government they have no sense of time 👍🏻👍🏻
