You got to keep in mind that it’s a special occasion smoke, not your daily smoke. That’s why once you light, just sit there and smoke it in one go. If you don’t finish, who cares, just throw it away. It isn’t going to be the same after sitting.
Just FYI - PerfecRepair is NOT fruit pectin. Fruit pectin is not as sticky or effective, and when it dries is very weak and fragile, which is why no cigar manufacturer uses fruit pectin when constructing cigars. PerfecRepair is made of one of the several sticky and durable vegetable glues used by cigar manufacturers. It also contains 60 x 1-2 micron cellulose fibers that crisscross to form a net over any crack or hole in the side of the cigar. Cigar tobacco naturally has 15-18% cellulose, so you are already smoking cellulose when you smoke cigars.
I have round the best way to seal a humidor is to seal the wood mating surfaces of the box and the lid. Water works well, a water dropper going around the entire surface works well for a good humidor. For a not so good humidor, wax works really well. Just rub the candle over the sealing surfaces, enough times and your lid will fit firmly.
Is it odd that I do enjoy the dark and burnt, kind of musty and used, burnt smoke taste of a used cigar. It a weirdly pleasant taste to cheap to affordable whiskeys. It is a quite pungent and harsh on the taste buds and the mouth feel is something to get used to but I enjoy it.
I've experimented at length with saving cigars. Im convinced it can't be done. It will always taste acrid and smell like an ashtray later no matter how far back I cut it. However, instead....before smoking, I slide the label down to around the halfway point and cut the cigar in half. I smoke the head and later smoke the foot. I rarely have any issue with the cigar wrapper falling apart as long as I've got the label holding it together and the cigar remains at 69-72% humidity.
@Nemanja Lucic - It hasnt in my experience but I wouldnt consider myself an expert in any way. The piece saved for later gets put back into the humidor so it stays at 69-72% humidity and rests against all the other cigars in the box. That being said, my favorite cigar right now is the Nub connecticut 354 which is made by Oliva. It comes as a half size cigar which solves this problem. But if I ever try a full size Robusto or larger cigar I usually cut it in half and leave the remainder in the humidor for later.
My problem with the cigar’s I mostly smoke is that I have to save them for later. I love the smaller cigar’s but my access to them is limited so I have to go with the longer ones that take more time and I just don’t have the time to sit and smoke for two to three hours. So uh this video helps me a lot. Thanks.
I just cut of the tip as far in that is needed to get off all the burnt stuff, it is quick and simple. But it is best in general to avoid it if you can but it is to bad to waste a cigar just to avoid re lighting.
Rumble is an up-and-coming video platform. Not as sophisticated as RU-vid and I’m not sure about the monetization but they probably themselves in free-speech
Normally I am a Bourbon and Whiskey Drinker. But tonight I will have my fist Cognac I bought two different ones the first is Courvoisier bourbon cask and the second is there VSOP what cigars do you recommend. I am thinking the Oliva v series the Rock Patel Maduro sungrown or the Fuentes Chatu Maduro or the Anjio or the undergrown dogma
@@cigarinstructionwithdonant1277 I just had a Sons of Anarchy Black Label Cigar, do you have a review for that one? I'm not good at picking up flavors yet.
Go light on the retro-hale and look for the familiarity of scents to acquire the flavor on you pallet Relate to what you have smelled before rather than tastes
I’ve been smoking the Curley Head Natural since they were 90cents (I’m old), great cigar, I can get them at ABC Liquor Stores for $3.19. I’ve smoked both the Deluxe and the Breva, don’t care for either one. The Natural is tops!!!
It was both a honor and a pleasure Don Antonio. You taught me a lot about the craft and I appreciate your service here. I’m glad I got to see you one last time behind the counter. Cheers my friend!
I'm new to cigars and over the months I perused your videos, I regularly found you reviewing Cigars that had very few overall videos about. It was nice to see consistent input from you on those. Best wishes and good luck with your future!
