Good morning pj i learned lots from your videos thank you. i wanted to find out would these marks work on a Vw 2l E 8v lomgblock engene im doing a carburetor conversation and wanted to find out when i put old carburetor distributor would it also be the same marks as you explained on video
Where does the connector that is connected to the air cut off valve run too? I have a mark 3 what would switch off when coming to stops, found my cut off valve was disconnected and the wire it was connected to ran through the fire wall, but I see here it runs somewhere else
Hi mk1 1.3 carb starts and switches it self off after some few minutes it won't start after that you have to wait for sometime for it to start and rev. What could be the problem my mechanic says he does not know what the problem is he wants us to get the head checked but I have spent alot of money on the car I feel it might be something other than the head as the car drove for a day before doing this
That's the problem i have car want to start if just wash it Sunday morning and agter that the car doesn't want to start engine turn and all but don't want to start
On the aftrmarket carbs there is 3 vacuum units ,the 2nd stage on the right,left top is the idle up for aircon and just below that is another one,what is the use of it?
1,4 fuel injection works very differently from carburetor. I battle now with fuel starvation. We got a new high-pressure fuel filter and pump but are still starving. the only thing that is not replaced is the pressure regulator. could the pressure be low due to a faulty pressure regulator?
hi i hope u can help, ive got the KS2 and doesnt start even if i throw fuel in the carb, it just swings and nothing, what could be the issue? do u think its the jets? should i do a complete service kit to fix the issue?
@@pjs-golfmk1-diy ive got spark across all plugs, coil is fine, fuel goes into carb, pump is fine, filter is fine, timing is fine bcz it did idle in my driveway n revd up perfectly, now she just swinging

Hii there, I am currently facing a problem with my vw citi golf mk1 carb 1.3. I think it might have something to do with the second stage of the butterfly getting pulled, but sometimes when i drive and i accelerate the rpms will drop and the car wil sometimes backfire and then right after it wil return to the rpms it was, this only happens in a few seconds and not continuously, mostly when the acceleration pedal is being stepped on, what can be the problems here and is there any way for me to test things out for solutions? I would appreciate the help😁
I bought a golf that has been converted from that kjettronic system the jetta 16vs come out with to carb...so what would you advice with the fuel pump currently it have that tok tok pump on it but its still starving i think they changed the pump in the tank

Accelerator pump. It squirts a little extra gas to alleviate the stumble from larger tip in throttle action. Or it's a choke.... I'm familiar with quadrajettes and holly's mainly.... But that's what it would be on one of them.
