"There's a build up" "Paints a picture in your head" "What a journey" Idk if i got the comments exactly right, but, yeah. You repeated my own thoughts. The song is titled "Descending", but there is an ascending feeling to it. I cannot describe the imagery but its there, in my head. I feel like it takes you from where you are and then brings you back, to the same place, but back "home", when you were not before, yet just leaves you feeling at home again. If that makes any sense? I just discovered that I am autistic last year, and i have never really felt "at home". So, this is....✨🤍✨

at first i thought it would be the last Opeth album, however I discovered this is simply just the theme of the album. It follows a story about a wealthy conservative patriarch set in post WW1, who before his death, set out his "Last Will and Testament" that revealed many shocking family secrets. I think it is a really cool and interesting concept, very excited to listen when it drops.

According to their website the theme is much more about family members turning against each other when a mother / father passes away. (Something I am well familiar with).
I can add a few things I forgot to mention: - Walt did an amazing job and the drums sound amazing! - The bass sounded different, just like the production as a whole compared to their other albums I think - The song overall has a very ghostly and spooky vibe (Maybe I _did_ say that?) - Lyrically, I do believe it is a character, presumably the one (Father?) who died, and therefore also maybe a haunting ghost. And maybe also from the perspective of those left after the death? Also after listening to this a few times, I've certainly gotten into the song way more than on my first listen. The first listen was still very cool but I now feel that I dig the song a lot more. I have pre-ordered the album and I think you should too!

@@petternordberg2883 ICV is an awesome album, I am not taking away from it. This new song just sounds like an ICV song but with more metal injected into it, is all I was saying. You know how heavy metal can give you this primal ape feeling of how you can run through a wall? That's what I meant by balls, and ICV did not have many of those moments. That's not saying it wasn't great, because it is.
I like metal the most, but killing a human ( bad or not) and showing it off on the world wide stage is at least amoral, even if it's a part of the history. Also how does it relate to olimpic games? The whole olimpic opening is dirty as fuck. I guess we can freely use now expression " french shame" to describe any unsightly things.
Well first of all, how do *any* of the other Olympic opening songs relate to the Olympic games? Second of all, I take it this is more like a history lesson for those who don't know it. If you think she was bad then to spread awareness. If you think she was good this is a tribute. Just spreading knowledge.

This is what we call a symbol, and here it's all about freedom. The aristocracy's fall gave the French people their freedom back. If you're shocked by so little, that’s on you, but it doesn’t mean you can judge an entire nation and its culture. Using "French shame" to describe it is unfair and dismissive of the cultural significance behind it!
The castle where they sing is called La Consiergerie, it's a building in Paris where Marie Antoinette and many others (about 2000) had to wait before their execution by guillotine, during the french revolution. So the show is really historic.
Il y a plusieurs grilles de lecture sur cette prestation musicale. D’abord, le bâtiment, la Conciergerie, ancienne salle des gardes du premier château des rois de France à Paris et au moyen-âge. Le bâtiment deviendra une prison sous la Terreur en 1793 où des milliers de personnes attendaient leur condamnation à mort, comme Marie-Antoinette qui fut guillotinée en septembre 1793 place de la Concorde à Paris (pas très loin de la conciergerie), ce qui explique le sang qui gicle des fenêtres. L’autre grille de lecture, est la chanson « ça ira, ça ira » qui est un chant révolutionnaire qui vilipendait les aristocrates. Ce chant devenu célèbre en 1953 grâce à Edith Piaf qui le chanta dans le film « si Versailles m’était conté ». On peut voir un autre sens à cette chanson qui rend hommage aux victimes du Bataclan à Paris (salle de spectacle) qui furent tuées par des terroristes islamiques en 2015 lors d’un concert d’Eagles of Death Metal. La dernière grille de lecture est le navire (la nef) où chante la cantatrice Marina Viotti symbolise la nef de Paris (c’est le blason de cette ville) qui a comme devise « fluctuat nec mergitur » qui en français veut dire, « Il est battu par les flots et ne sombre pas ».

@@puccaland Tant qu'à surinterpréter… Franchement : l'emblème de Paris (sans les fleurs de lys) passant devant la Conciergerie sur fond de musique métal reprenant le "Ah ! Ça ira !", vous y voyez un hommage aux victimes du Bataclan vous ? Certes, chacun interprète une œuvre comme il le souhaite, mais là je trouve ça vraiment capillotracté.
It’s insanely narrow minded to call an entire fan base of a band “autistic” simply because you had a strange experience at a concert. I admit Tool probably have a very niche fanbase but it’s ridiculous to say “tool fans are autistic”
I think it's insanely narrow minded how people can not see the humor in the title and just take it so serious, and not feel the tone in how I said it in the video, thereby not knowing the kind of obvious joke-atmosphere. This is just a video of me telling my experience, and how I felt like the vibe from the crowd was different than any other concert I've been to. This is not made to offend anyone, or to say that all Tool fans act in any way, it is just me telling my experience in a funny way. I believe I also never said in the video that Tool fans are autistic, just that I questioned it since people acted a little differently than what I'm used to.
I think this audio was ran through an AI track separation program or something like that to remove the crowd noise that covered up some of the finer details and especially the vocal frequencies.
@@mastod0n1 most likely yea, a lot of version i have heard of the performance was quite bad in terms of joes screaming/growling vocals first minute and a half so yea, someone probably ran it through a track separator and lower/removed the crowd and raised joes vocals to make it more audible
Diagnosed AuDHD 🙋♀️ and Tool fan for about 20 years now. Can confirm I’ve never started a conversation with someone at a show, lol. I’m sure the fan base is more heavily introverted in general, but probably also a larger neurodivergent fan base than average. 🤷♀️

This is one of the most popularly reviewed Rush videos your blocking issues must be on your end. Geddy and Alex were both 58 on this tour, Neil was 59 and this was the second and last encore after a 3 hour show. If you're taking recommendations I'll go with Natural Science any live version.
Happy to make some recommendations! Let's start with "Anthem" from Rush's second album [and first with Neil Peart as drummer/lyricist], Fly by Night (1975). There's an official video out there (which is just of them performing the song on stage). Next, I'd recommend listening to the lead track from 1982's Signals album, "Subdivisions." Any live performance of the song would do. Then let's give a listen to 1991's "Roll the Bones," performed live in Toronto (R40 tour) in 2015. Finally, let's zoom forward to Rush's 19th (and last) studio album, Clockwork Angels. The song I'd like you to hear (this time) is called "Headlong Flight." I'd recommend the live in Dallas version. Do these four in that order and you'll be surprised by how the band's music did and didn't change over the decades.
I saw this tour in Hamilton, Ontario (located roughly half-way between Toronto and Buffalo). The super cool thing about this song is that it was the second encore after a show that was itself over 2.5 hours long (that plus the fact that they were all close to 60 years old when they played it). Cleveland was the US city in which this song first caught on, which led to their first international recording contract (i.e. anywhere outside Canada). So, it was meaningful for Geddy to tell them that they were the best audience ever.
If it's a VPN thing you can purchase for example Nord VPN, I also use that because I am Dutch living in Brazil...facing all the time ip-adres issues. So I change my IP adress by country and the problem is solved But it can be something else with you off course, but I have seen this video many times and other reactors don't seem to have problems with it
