I have a question - the fence post bases that are "weldless" will not sit flat/flush in the middle of a shipping container due to the raised edges of the roof. On the ends there are flat surfaces (sort of) that could probably work without welding but I don't see how you can say this system is weldless when there is no way for the bases to sit flush in certain areas. This requires a weld, right? One more follow-up question - why didn't you weld a full piece of metal across both raised areas and then attach the ground/base mount? You can see that the container is already collapsing due to the weight on the beveled edges which over time/wind will eventually fail. Lastly, it looks like you're using the Tamarack system which is great. But, you're not supposed to have a span of 7' or 84" between the rows of ground mounts/pipes. I think Tamarack states there should be no more than 5' to 6' of space between rows. You really need a row of ground mounts in the middle. If the system fails due to wind/snow, there will be no warranty. Also, the first row of ground mounts looks like you're using maybe 1' of fence post in height - this doesn't allow you to add cross-bracing as you need 6" above and below the cross-brace to attach. Cross-bracing is HUGE in areas of high wind. We get 90 mph gusts and that cross brace will take the load and distribute it from the row of higher fence posts. Anyway, it just seems a little simplistic to say this is a weldless system - there's no way to get it to work without welding skills.

For two days I've begun to look for a company that may assist me in determining if there is a reasonable remedy for my family related to water. Right now there are 8 people living in two homes serviced by one well. Besides just our normal needs, we both irrigate roughly an acre of yard between the two of us. I just received a 1K PG&E bill and we didn't use a minute of time using the air conditioner. My son received a $600 bill for the same month, July. But my issue is primarily with my well. I am contemplating installing a 5K gallon tank for water storage and a windmill(?) or the solar pump,, to fill the tank continuously from our well (?) or should we drill a new, smaller well for the tank and use a solar pump? The issue with the well is that I stand near it and hear in cycle on and off constantly. I know that is going to kill my pump sooner than I hope. I've lived here 40ish years and we have replaced the pump 3 times. With the tank, I would hope to stop the continuous cycling of the well. Does a 5K gallon tank sound like it is large enough? I live in the Central Valley of California, and we have had a good year for water last year, but I am beginning to fear our water may be in jeopardy. There are families near us who have lost their wells and we have very large housing developments moving in around us. My well is a hundred feet and my water is at 60 ft, the last time we checked. If you have any ideas or thoughts I would really appreciate your response. Thank you.

Lets not forget either if that panel says its a 100 watts no matter what if theres an obstruction or not its still gonna lose 20 percent after install .. this a common mistake. That everyone needs to Practice. Because home owners be like i thought i was getting 7500 kw and in actuality it’s like 5500 to 6k and then explaining in detail that production values are created in a climate controlled environment.

Never ever use poly pipe for such an installation unless you have the equipment to pull that pipe up from a great depth full of water. I made the mistake of using 1.25" poly pipe to a depth of 200 ft and it weighs 500 lbs, I don't have the tools to pull it up and what is worse is none of the half-dozen well service companies in this county will deal with poly pipe. They complain that the pipe will kink and be damaged during the pulling and their insurance company will not cover them if they reinstall it. They insist on replacing the poly with PVC and special couplings. The material cost to me to replace the pump now includes $800 extra just for a new pipe string. Putting the poly in is easy as the pipe is empty of water.

My question is it possible to use one high voltage panel that an output of 72volts, 400w, 5amp?

People also forget, that heavy dusting also holds and traps heat. So dust is not just blocking light rays in, its also making the panels hotter.

I have a large garden/small orchard and live in a high desert area. Our irrigation well static level is less than 10’ from surface so we have little lift required. We bought a RPS 400+system this year when they were on sale. We trenched over 500’ and installed 1.25” main pipe with 1” feeder coming from it in 6 sections. We installed the RPS system using our own solar panels. I added a 20 gallon pressure tank set at 35psi. I set the tank full controler to kick off when the pump gets to 60 psi. It comes back on at 30 psi. We use drip tape to deliver water to our plants with time controllers allowing us to water every day for individual requirements. The system works great and we use the excess water to water our lawn. So far our regular power bill has gone down over $100 per month since we no longer use our AC pump to irrigate everything. RPS was great for information even using our own solar panels. I highly recommend using their system.

Hi William. I live in Canada. We have cattle. We just got a 5" well dug. It is 18ft deep with 60gal/min recovery. I am curious how many gallon per minute you would estimate your RPS 400 will pump at that depth. Our static water level 5.5 feet down. Thanks in advance. I am new to solar water.
