And you damaged the clock motor for doubling the voltage,of course it doubled the speed of time,,,a a such a destructive thinking!
why did the applied solution dry and adhere yet the stuff in the improvised mixing container not only didnt dry but was able to be used on another repair about 10min. later with no cover exposed to the air the whole time? can someone explain this to me please?

Clock batteries last a short time. Not your Braun travel clock, but these big things. You HAVE to use rechargeables. You'll be buying a battery once a month.
This polystrene adhesive looks interesting, esp if it remains flexible. And it looks like it can fill in gaps were other adhesives cannot. A very good contact adhesive is Rennia Colle de Cologne. This was recommended by a person working at a VA hospital making custom fitted orthotic shoes because it was the most durable. I found that to be very good advice.
It would be interesting to know how long this repair might last !? Putting the glue where it's needed could be neater ; faster; and more simple if the glue was poured out of the plastic bottle bottom into something like a old fashioned plastic ketchup squeeze bottle with the long slender tapered nozzle ! 😊
