This is a lithium replacement battery which is almost 3 times the correct voltage and will more than likely damage the clock permanently.

moking8095. He soldered a resistor in the circuit but never showed the value !!! But that would drop the voltage to 1.5 volts. It's much Easier to use a Rechargeable AA Battery.

I killed a clock with a lithium cell once. Pretty sure the maximum voltage is 3v. I guess if the clock mechanism is blown up then it no longer eats AA cells - problem solved lol

Simple and easy way is to install a rechargeable battery. You dont need to install diode and all of that make it work.

You can even use a weak battery as long as it does not leak. Any high powered battery like duracell etc even if it is 1.5 volts never use. It burns the foil track on clock movement PCB. Later it is difficult to form a connection track. I have observed on many of my clocks. I use very simple low power battery of conventional manufacturing. I patch up the created hole by aluminium foil!

Cost is 30 times of battery. Clock is running by 3.7 volt I stead of 1.5 volt. The coils of clock will be open after one or two days. Do not show this type video.

Don’t do that…you’re only meant to put alkaline or zinc batteries in low power draining products like quartz clocks. Rechargeable batteries are only meant to put in fast draining appliances
