I give upfront and honest reviews of cars most people can afford. No Ferraris here! I also like to show places you can visit. From the early 1900's, Cars represent freedom. Freedom to travel, go when you want and where you want. My channel shows you places to go and what cars can take you there!
About $30k deprechiation (from MRSP) and energy cost not included? How about financing? You have to go to the service menu in order to get the true range of Tesla. That in dashboard can be up to 30% too optimistic.
Informative video! Just took our '15 S from.our place to Sac to Coos Bay, OR along the coast. This was the 1st long distance with the S since we had it. No problem. Took our X a few times down to So Cal. Mojave and Lone Pine have doubled or tripled their charging stations so helpful. Mojave was 3 spots a few years back. Lone Pine maybe had 5. I did wait in line at Bishop but that was holiday week so to be expected. All in all, very doable.
Low miles isn't always good. It means it's been sitting for a long time. All the rubber parts at this point would need to be replaced. Tires, timing belt, ball joints etc. Anything rubber would have dry rot by then. Also remember parts are not made anymore so very hard to find.
Just bought a 2024 Preferred trim CX 5 last month, in deep crystal blue mica and parchment interior. Absolutely love it. And Mazda is loving Toyota defectors like me 😂. Nice review here, thanks for sharing.
Put sts turbos on that v6 and it has the really sleeper effect. Also put a good brand of adjustable shocks that you can make them softer. Still my dream car. I didn't car that it has a v6.
They do look good.I think there are a couple of easy upgrades to make them a little peppier , like a "tune" ,easy rear end gear swap with a speedo fix.
I did the gear swap and had EU reprogrammed gaining around 30 more HP. Replaced sway bar with 'wonder bar' and also the air intake. The thing rips off the line and solid chirps in second - all while on auto. ;)
The ride quality greatly improves if you remove the run-flats and put regular tires on. I put Michelin pilots on my 99, and that helped a little, now I have continentals on, much improved
I had one for 2 yrs the attention it got here in the streets of Brooklyn was incredible , but with a lower bad back and the ride quality I let it go but miss all that attention ! will probaly never own another car that unique , ended up with a black SLK55 another rare car little more practical with a trunk and hard top convertible and V8 but nothing will match the Prowler look !
I love it, great Job Mark, Jerry and Tim, superb working with you all! Since filming the video Rivian has sent OTA updates with significant improvements to Driver +, Towing mode, Ride Comfort and more.
Sorry to hear that. I have a 2011 with 128,000 miles and still going strong. I did have to rebuild the transmission around 90,000 and change out an alternator around 110,000 miles, other than that, tires and brakes. Sorry you had a bad experience, but thanks for letting me know.
My husband and I just bought the '23 Limited Hybrid. I like it, but there are some features that are crazy! and definitely have to get used to. Thanks for this!
Just got a 2015 (gen 6) from dealer 2 weeks ago. I was sick of the current new car scene and gave up. 2016 is gen 7. I don't like the new twist on headlight shape and the DRL triangle thing - screams CAMRY.
I bought a SEL Premium package at the end of September. I have front-wheel drive and fuel consumption lower, 25 miles in town and 30 miles on the highway. I like the design and functions that are in this model.
Yip; mixed facts between the gas engine and diesel. Mpgs were misrepresented , pulling power, as well as the fording depth. No mention about the different trims either. Looks like you might have been driving the high altitude, most likely with a lsd rear diff. Please do your homework and update your vid.
ford should have sued chrysler for design infringement on this . 1933 ford coupe from zz top eliminator save for the front fenders. could have been the inspiration .
El Matador Beach is absolutely lovely. Lived in Laguna Beach in the hills for about a year, we’d go down the hill and I think it was like a 5 minute drive once we turned on PCH. I will always have a love for S Cali./Orange County! Such beautiful places all around you wen one lives there.
Hey man, great report on an often-maligned car! Yeah, yeah, Chrysler *should* have put a V-8 in it, blah blah blah - you know they probably tried every way possible and just figured that it was non-feasible. Like they did with that stupid PT Cruiser, where you have to remove the engine just to change the water pump - yikes! So the Prowler got stuck with a V-6. if only they had waited a few years. My 2014 Chrysler 200 has a friggin' DOHC 3.6 V-6! A what? Anyway... Oh, by the way, not to be pedantic, but in their 1962 song, "409," the Beach Boys were probably singing about a car, not the engine in particular. Both Chevy and Ford had 409 cu. in. engines, but Chevy actually called their high-performance Impala model the "SS 409."
