I think that Ian Fleming Bond is darker and all of other actors played the character with Sean Connery or The Novels in mind. But Sir Roger Moore was different,he created his own Bond, with his subtle sense of humour. Colin Firth could have played his type of Bond.
R.I.P Roger Moore (1927-2017) and George Carlin (1937-2008) I miss both Roger Moore and George Carlin so much and Roger Moore along with George Carlin will always be my absolute favorites. Roger Moore was a very superb and awesome James Bond actor from Live and Let Die to Octopussy, Octopussy will always be my all time favorite Roger Moore bond film, and The Muppet Show episode with Roger Moore was great. I also love George Carlin. George Carlin was the most brilliant and best American comedian of all time, Jammin' in New York and Back in Town from 1992 to 1996 are both my absolute favorite George Carlin specials, and George Carlin's speeches on Golf Courses for the Homelessness, The Planet is Fine, and Free-Floating Hostility were all stellar.

Note Millicent Martin really fell there - and they carried on as if nothing really went wrong. RIP Roger, the best Bond I grew up watching - one of my Heroes.
Alaska and Hawaii became the 49th and 50th states at this time, and Warner Bros. produced TV series set in both locations, the other one being “Hawaiian Eye”.
