My goal is to help people, I am a licensed professional in the construction field and own two business in addition to my RU-vid channel and a few other ventures I dabble in. Some of my How To videos may not be to "code" in the plumbing or electric phases however I can assure you it is safe and it works. If you are unsure and not confident in your own abilities you should always hire a licensed professional.
My page and videos will not be super flashy with a huge production. I will try to do live un-edited or minimal edited videos as much as possible so please expect some slip ups. I will focus on the raw content so people can actually learn.
If you have video requests please reach out and I will try to accommodate. I hope you all enjoy my channel. Please like, comment and subscribe. Thank You!
So was giving you the code always or just out of the blue just gave out the open neutral my question is did you create the problem or did it just happen to u mine was first the GFI saying Open neutral but my 110/220 round recepitical was saying it was good but another thing was my GFI would trip everything I plug in to it and no now no power anyware on the generator have any input on that
Ultimately I created the problem. My cord sheathing was separated from the plug. And the OEM plug was sealed. I ordered a new plug and reversed the white and green wires because of bad lighting in my house. I couldn’t see, lol. I started to get the. E-8 open neutral code on my EPO and after some looking and checking other connections I thought about it and said I wasn’t having the problem before. I went back to the plug open it outside in the daylight and immediately seen it was wired wrong. I swapped the ground and neutral wired and I was good to go.
@@derrich773 so did u lose power all together that's what mine had done it went from open neutral in my GFI and the other plug in read ok but it I switch it from 110 to220 it would keep tripping some if the power but if I was able to turn my AC off fast enough then it would reset and if u turned it back on it would run for a fue minutes but if you just let it do it's thing it would complete ly kill the motor and it finally just has no power to anything all at once it just stopped producing power but it will trart up but no power what's your thoughts GFI went out defective or the voltage regulator took a crap im not sure yet but it s just a good thing for me if i cant fix it at least its under warranty or i wold be in bad shape
@@DeweySowell I did lose power because my EPO would recognize the open neutral and shut it off to protect the inside of the coach. It would shut off, then come back on a few minutes later down for a little bit and then go off again. It happened a couple of times till I realized there was a problem originally I was at a campground and thought the campground electric was the culprit as far as GFI’s. I have experienced bad GFI’s in my home and had to replace them. I’m not sure if this would be your problem, but if it is under warranty, I would definitely recommend taking it in to get looked at usually the RV tech are very good at figuring things out like this. Good luck hope you can resolve this issue quickly.
This might be a dumb question but why do you have a single 50A breaker feeding a single 50A breaker? wouldn't it make more sense to just wire the cables you pulled to the second breaker right up to the socket? I think you would likely need a 70A breaker at the main panel feeding the panel with the 50A and the 20A breakers? Otherwise you would just need a socket fed from the main panel and you could save like half the cost.
You’re correct, it would be easier however you need a different gauge wire. I had on hand the proper wire for 50 amp and was not comfortable running 70 amp through it. It might be unconventional, but I can assure you it works.
my fuses arent lightning up when pressing the extend button.. i hear a clicking noise in the fuse panel when trying to extend it.. but no sound on the motor or movement on the awning....
@@horizon2667 the light will only come on if the fuses are blown. The clicking noise may be something holding the awning closed. Can you open the awning manually?
Hi, I have never used Microvellum before. Many years ago I used a program called Ashlar Vellum and it was very similar to Turbo Cad for drawing 2D and 3D. 2020 is industry specific because you import specific cabinet manufacturers into the program. This way when you do a 3D rendering it looks very similar to the final product.
I wanted to do this for my rv and the inspector told me that romex could not be placed in conduit under any circumstances so I will have to just get a few rolls of stranded wire. good work!
I need help! i just purchased 20/20 and my main issues are when i draw a wall i have to take time to make sure the wall is straight. Does it not just default to a straight wall? also when i place a cabinet i have to go slow and butt the cabinets to the walls, the cabinets are moving over the wall and not stopping when i drag it to the wall. Takes way to much time slowing trying to place the cabinets
@@Tyler-sk2rm there are help videos in 20/20 if you have support. If you just purchased than you should have support. Sounds like you have to set some parameters in the settings. I don’t have any of the issues you mentioned.
Good video Dave. Just had the Companion installed in my 2024 Chevy 3500 today. Excited to head out Monday. Coming from a Ford F450, i hope this Chevy holds its own.
Thank-you!! I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out why my awnings wouldn't extend. The fuse box was labeled incorrectly and your trick of holding the retract button down while the panel is open saved the day. Thanks a million!
Dave. Great video. I’ve decided to get an Onan Gen for my Jayco Northpoint. Are you happy with the 5500? I’m wondering if the 6500 would be that much better. Our unit has 2 15k btu ACs also. Thanks Patrick
Not at all mine is a 36.5’ 5th wheel and already prepped for LP Onan. The dealer tech guy I talk to for technical issues just recommended to go with the larger one to be on the safe side of having more power to spare. I would be okay with 5500 if it runs both ACs. I don’t know anyone who has these and so I need to ask about everything. Sorry
It’s an LP generator that runs off the two 30LB tanks for the camper. The tanks are located on both front sides by the landing jacks. I forget how much LP is used on an average but it all depends on the load you are trying to run.
HELLO DAVE THANKS FOR SHARING AND FOR YOUR TIME IM JUST GETTING STARTED , COULD YOU PLEASE SEND ME MORE INFORMATION ABOUT HOW TO WORK WITH YOU ALSO IF YOU SEND CABINETS TO SACRAMENTO CA. THANKS AND HAVE A GREATE DAY
My Niece has 21st century and loves them ! I am now researching for myself. Dave, these are imported (where? ) and come flat packed where the reseller or contractor assembles locally ? Thx Much
My issue is when I return to hitch height, half the time I get red flashing led. Mechanics have played with it and a fourth of the time, it failed on them. No help from lippert.
I know mine will flash red in the direction that it’s out of level. Once auto leveled or manually leveled the center green light comes on and the reds go away.
I own three apartment buildings in Brooklyn and this video explains more than I’ve ever gotten from the boiler contractors that I’ve hired for years. Thank you. Question: my return lines are mostly on the floor. How do I clean the sludge if the pipes are not elevated? Is it still necessary to clean the return pipes?

I don't know the answer to your question, but I have a question that you may be able to answer for me. Is the high watermark where the water is for a cold boiler or a hot boiler?
Nope! A steam boiler has little to no pressure when it’s producing steam because it’s an open system. Not closed. Watch the whole video to find out why or contact a boiler technician and they can explain it to you.
Kitchen Design 2020 or Design 2020. Google it , there is a free trial but its best if you're going to start designing kitchens to but the software .Best of luck !
There is a bleeder inside the larger nut to remove the housing. I skip that step. I don’t think it’s necessary. I have never had an issue but I’m also not a mechanic by trade.
Need you to take care of my knocking radiators! We've spent hundreds of dollars on our radiators, and they still knock, but now I have some questions to ask the next repair guy. I need to watch part 1 now. Thanks very much.
@@derrich773 not really sure, but I had guy do a lot of maintenance on the boiler including draining it, cleaning the water level glass and checking each air valve as you did. I don't think my repair guy considered whether or not any of the radiators are not draining properly as you pointed out at the end of this video.
@@andrewbonthius787 pitching the radiators to the valve is a must. When you’re ready heater cools, the condensation needs to drain back to the boiler. If water stays in the radiator or pipe and the system kicks on again, will hammer a lot more sometimes water will shoot out of the air valve which is also not normal.
If you look t the bottom of that box it has a hole for a grounding cable to go down to a grounding rod. Why did you not do that? Isn't it code in your area?
On my awnings I need to open and close 1 at a time otherwise the fuse will blow. I have 1 fuse for both awnings. Maybe you have a short somewhere. If you are not familiar with electric you should call a mobile tech.
