One man armed with a box of pizza and a video game controller. A home to games and all things geeky. I review and do let's plays of PC and Nintendo indies and retro style games. I also like toys and gadgets. My shorts section is very active with a little bit of everything.
The games I choose are based on what's new, what I have around, what I've scavenged, and whatever just looks cool. If you want to read some of my writing be sure to check out my blog. I try to keep things pleasant and helpful here. I respond to emails and will showcase. Contact info below.
This game looks stupid. I should know, I made it. But seriously, thanks for the review. I hadn't searched for any in a few years and it was a joy to come across one so recent (only a month ago) as yours. Glad you had a blast.
Haha my stomach dropped at the first sentence then I laughed. Thanks for checking out my review! I'm glad I saw the game on eShop cause I had fun. I must ask though the whole backstory about reality and salvation, is that really there? Cheers!
@@mrdavepizza It is yes. Bezier was originally a hobby project that I did slowly over 12 years 2008-2016. I put a tremendous amount of stuff in there. Too much for a little blaster. The Switch port happened over 10 months during the start of Covid, a lot of systems got changed to be more 'arcade-y'. The idea is you don't need to access that stuff to enjoy things and play wherever you find it fun.
same im getting into other hobbies, such as paintball, biking, wanting to start playing instruments my guitar again, and maybe get a trumpet or horn...gaming just doesnt do it too much anymore
@@mrdavepizza I mean its just turned into addiction and greed, retro gaming, in 2024..majority of people are chasing or running away from something. Or its simply for status hence every video they have to do in front of their gaming shelf you know
Hi, video creator here. I decided to edit out some of my train travel portions of the video because I think a lot of people just wanted to dive right into the convention. I enjoyed that part of the trip quite a bit, but since this is a gaming channel I'll try and keep it focused on the convention, the rest is quite good anyway! Hope you enjoy the new edited version. If you do, give it a thumbs up.
Hi! thanks for the review! I'm one of the devs, this was not a MKDS mod, but I am a MKDS modder, maybe that's where you got that misunderstanding! I think you'll like the other environments later on in the campaign. :) Enjoy
Ah! Thanks for the clarification. I saw it on another video so wasn't sure of the validity. I really liked the game, it will be one of my go to games for some time on the Switch.
@@ignignxkt hi, sadly it's not supported on PC, the game wasn't made with 21:9 in mind. That might change in the future, depends on our dev team plans.
Thank you! Yes, I mean that is something I realized too. It's not just a Midwest gaming convention, it's probably the best one out there! There's something for everyone here. Thanks for the comment, Justin! 😁🎮
We also attended for the first time and it was a blast! Lots to see and do. The vendor hall was massive and that's not an understatement. I spent over 5 hours going booth to booth looking at all the stuff for sale. The board game room was super fun to checkout some games to play. The Game room with the arcade machines and pinball was massive as well. If I had to do anything different I would have my family go on Sunday instead of Saturday due to how busy it was on Saturday. Attendance was about half on Sunday vs Saturday. Great experience with all the people and vendors I interacted with. It's a must attend at least once in your life.
I agree, it's a MUST have experience. I was originally going to go Sunday as well but expected it to be crowded. I might go again next year just to get my money's worth in pinball 😆 Did you buy anything from the vendor hall? That was also one of my favorite areas. Thanks for the comment!
I enjoyed this video a lot Mr. Dave Pizza! I love watching travel videos too. I think it's really cool that you'll be attending a gaming convention. I can't wait to see what you cover about it.
Thank you Hazzie. Yes, vey excited about the gaming convention. It's been so long since I did anything like this, so it should be pretty cool. Even if it doesn't produce a blockbuster video it will be fun..
