Well, I took a look at the humble yet very excellent Shovel Pirate. It's only $2.99 on Steam, but a fun little game for what it is. I'll give you a hot take on the game, how to play, and why I like it. Don't get me wrong, this is no Super Mario World, but the graphics are fun and I'm appreciating this.
