We highly recommend this float. It was really relaxing and easy. The temperature was probably 60 - 70s,it was springtime. A day later, a huge storm rolled in with high winds and rain.
@@wortheverymile371 Can you drive down to shoreline or do you have to hike? Looks like there was a parking lot. And can you start & finish in same spot or do you have to do what you did where you hired someone to bring you back or whatever it’s called 😁
@exploringnewhites there is a parking lot there. You can start and stop at the same spot. If you are in kayaks you may be able to go upstream. We did do over 15 miles on water. That's why we paid for back haul and camped one night.
Hi, how are you both? We split the hike into 2 sections. You can do it all in one day, but I think it's 7-8 miles total. That area is beautiful, so we'd recommend any of it. Just bring water there are a few up hills.
@@wortheverymile371 we are good. Just workamping up in Astoria area. Coming down here for our son’s wedding. We will be in our rig and will use our e-bikes to get around. We don’t plan on doing the whole hike 😅 ain’t trying to kill myself 🤣🤣
We arrived at Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park today. Unable to camp it was fully booked however spent the day walking around and taking pictures of some awesome trees and the Smith River.
Florence Keller park is a good nearby alternative for camping. I usually lodge at the Curly Redwood Lodge motel. Cheers, M. D. Vaden, Arborist & Redwood expert.
We weren't able to make it to Fern canyon when we were in the area, but it is on our destination list 100%. Thanks for taking us along. Hope to catch up with you guys sometime this summer or fall when we head back West- Kyle
Awesome video. Can’t get over all these snow. We were there in October 2021 had snow but not nearly that much. We didn’t get to do the whole park either just means we have to go back
Our visit to Crater lake had snow too, but not the crazy amount you guys had. Still an amazing park and hope you get to go back and see the rest of the park that was closed. Thanks for taking us along.
You two always find the best waterfalls. That hollowed out tree was so cool. Kayaking on the lake looked so relaxing and the water looked clear. Loved the reflection of the trees and clouds in the water. You are definitely making each day count. I still have my blockbuster card. lol
Melody, we definitely seek out as many waterfalls as we can. Each one is so different and beautiful. Clear Lake was so relaxing, especially seeing into the water and the reflections. We are trying our best to make every day count. Next time you're in Bend you can rent some movies. Thank you for watching and commenting. We appreciate it. Safe travels
Love the waterfalls! Every time you went under an overhang Jim said, “Does Mike have to squat to get under there? I’d love to see that.” Very cool video guys! Miss you!
What a beautiful place, thanks for taking us along. When we were in the area we did not get a chance to go there, but nextime you know we will.- Kyle and Michelle
Kyle and Michelle it is well worth the visit. We'd recommend off season though as it is a super popular place. Thanks for watching and commenting we appreciate it.
Love the video. We haven’t seen it, since the Eagle Creek fire, in 2017. I’m so happy they have the trails open again. I can see some of the destruction of the fire in your video. Did you get a squished penny? They used to have a machine there. But I think now they have you buy the squished penny.
You guys are making us home sick. 😢 Cape disappointment is a beautiful site. We fish the mouth of the Columbia River. The red buoy you saw, out from the lighthouse, that’s where we fish, every fall. For the big Chinook Salmon, that come thru there, heading to the Hanford reach, of eastern Washington, where they will spawn and die.
