Cape Disappointment is located on the Long Beach Peninsula in the state of Washington. With 2023 acres the park encompasses a diverse landscape of old growth forest, freshwater lakes, freshwater and saltwater marshes, and oceanside tidelands. There have been many different uses in the area from military outposts during the Civil War and World War II to the iconic lighthouses.
Come along with us as we check out Deadman Cove, the lighthouse, and visit Lewis and Clark interpretive Center.
The lighthouse offers views of the Pacific Ocean, Long Beach Peninsula, Columbia River Bar, and the northern Oregon Coast.
The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center sits a top a 200 foot cliff. Inside you will learn about the journey of Lewis and Clark and their team from St. Louis to the Pacific Ocean.
With many activities to do in this amazing park it is a must to check out if you are in the area.
