I find this sooo funny that all over the world frog fans have had the same idea about the Fabrikör cabinet. I remember when I saw this at IKEA here in Germany a few years ago, I too thought "This would make a stylish tree frog terrarium"! Funny how we all throught the same 😄. I didn´ do it back then, but I had kept Hyla cinerea in the 90s as a teenage girl, and right now I´m planning a really big one for White´s tree frogs, a 550 liter tank (145 gallons). I can only do metric, that would be 100 x 50 cm wide and 110 cm high. I want them to have enough space. I guess I would have used the Fabrikör for smaller species.
hi! ive been wanting to do something similar. for the front panel glass, did you re-use the shelf like on the bottom? if not, can you provide me measurements for the glass? thank you :D
I adore this video, thank you so much for the tutorial! I wonder, is there enough air circulation for the frogs? The cabinet is fully closed off and doesn't have a mesh top, so are ventilators enough?
This is great. I've been looking at suitable cabinets to make a bigger home for my crested gecko, and also going bioactive. Was wondering if you've had any problems with rusting or leaks? Many thanks!
Hello, I am French and I saw your video because I am interested in your paludarium at the 4th minute. Could you tell me more about its construction? how did you manage to get water at the bottom of the shelf? Very nice installation and I hope you can answer me.
Ahhhhh!!!! You make this look so easy! I am terrified to even try to do this on my $500 enclosure! Great job tho! I also have a rescue. I want to give her the life and love that she so deserves and never got! This is my first reptile ever! Everything scares me!!!!
This would have to be the best Vivarium l have seen. I have the same cabinet and have been trying to work out how l was going to make it. Thank you very much ❤️ from Australia 🇦🇺
Love this!!! I want whites tree frogs in the future & am 100% going to follow your diy video. I just have a few questions. Are the fans the only ventilation? Did you end up installing a fogger/mist system? & how did you create the bottom plexiglass looking piece, or is that part of the door? Such an awesome set up!!
what kind of expandable foam are you using, is there one that isn't toxic? I had to research foam for a job and what I read is that besides being non-recyclable just being in a room it is bad for health. Did you seal it with something?
okay did a little research, expanable foam is polyurethane, the foam I was researching for a job was polystyrene. polyurethane is still inevitible landfill waste but even though toxic when spraying becomes inert. wish there was another option besides spray plastic foams
It turned out awesome! Thanks for a great video. I’m building same size for my daughter’s beardy Mochi. I see your list of paints and expanding foam. We are new to owning reptiles. They won’t try to eat anything you put in your enclosure? Are those fake plants? Thanks for any advice.
I just started this build. Did you cut the front horizontal glass shelf to make it short? The one that will hold the substrate in. Mine is very tall and comes up almost halfway. I may have to take it out and cut it down so it's not so tall. Thank you. Awesome.
I love this build. Simple, sweet, straight to the point! Definitely gonna use this as inspiration as I build my vivarium for my future black-eyed tree frog :) I wish my Fabrikor was the cute green color like yours (it's rust orange). But I got it for $50 so I couldn't say no to that deal lol. Thank you for sharing.
@@FuzzySpaghetti I have a table saw and cut a clear piece of acrylic but if you don’t have power tools available, I would go to Home Depot and either ask them to cut a piece of glass for you for the exact dimensions or a piece of wood!
Hey, know it has been a while but hoping you might still respond! How is it holding up so far? Also, what's the fans function? Did you also install a mesh or smth at the lights so they can't reach it? Many thanks in case you do manage to respond :)
OMG THIS IS SO SO SO SO SO COOL!!! I neeeed to try this but just wondering, can you hear them in the room next door? And can you hear them from the floor above?
I just saved a baby turtle today at work, he is so small. Poor little guy was all cold and alone, I live in Minnesota so it's not the warmest right now. Not my first rodeo, had a couple painted turtles before just wanted to give him a chance a life and set him free in the summer when he is big and strong 💪🐢
