How do you get the chalk line strait and square in the first place to calibrate your lazer? We just got all this equipment and it’s never been set up before.
On a re stripe job, how do you know what the previous contractor used for paint? How do you tell if it is solvent based paint or a water based paint? Is there a way to visually tell the difference?
@@linepainter that’s some expensive stuff compared to other paints. 127-150.00 per gallon is steep! I’m sure you have a deal worked out but that price would be cutting into your margins significantly.
@@linepainter seeing as I am a painter and spray using sprayers all the time and work for a company who supplies things. Half the time I get the sprayer it has a 515 in it and I ask for a 312 3-14 which they come with new seal replacements and I change them everytime and it’s pretty obvious their meant to sit on the tip to get them in. Been doing it that way like 15 years bro
@@OmertaAnonymous 60 degree 18 ft stall, 16 feet off the curb is a 9'5" offset. Same stall 18 feet off the curb is 10'5" off the curb. I use the auto layout computer sometimes for an odd ball size angle. Thanks for watching
I thought if you overshot you had to start over Since the sensor is just counting teeth on a wheel. Or does it somehow know which direction your traveling?
I have never used my auto layout to do angle stalls I always go barbarian and rely on the tape measure but today I am by myself and I figured you know what I got all the time in the world to f*** around so I'm going to try this now I am what you called learning disabled lol or at least that's what the teachers called me in school so I'm going to have to watch this like a hundred times before it actually clicks but it'll click
It take an investment of several thousand dollars. Start out with small parking lots until you are comfortable with the process. The hardest part is finding the work. Be prepared to long days and time away from your family
@@tylercarter770 it worked pretty good, except when cleaning out the machine with water. Any water splashed on the machine removed the coating. But overall it kept it clean
Its 3/4 electrical conduit with a little electrical tape on the end of it to increase it to 1 inch so the rubber piece doesnt fall off. Thanks for watching.
Would you have any idea why my line driver is whining? It seems sluggish or take off, drives fine tho. New carb, plug filters oil changes. Kind of at a loss. Hope it's not the pump dying. Any advice will help, thanks.
@@linepainter it sounds like it's coming from the pump itself. Hydraulic level is okay yes, just changed the filter and oil thinking it was stressing it out, no change. I haven't noticed any performance issue, just the noise.
Could have used this info about a year ago lol. I was beating my head against the wall trying to get the bend out, now I wouldn't stripe without it. Any chance of a vid showing how you set up for circular/not straight lines? do you move the gun back to the rear wheels?
Just wanted to day i loved the video...I do the exact same thing you did with the angle calculator to find my offset but after that I could save you some time and quite a few steps...instead of pulling a 90 degree off the bollard, do the following. Make a mark along the baseline that is 1/2 the distance of ur baseline measurement of 11.27 away from the bollard...pull a 90 degree mark off that mark at the 16 foot line and then just use your offset measurement of 12.06 away from that mark in the correct direction of the spaces and then connect that mark to your half of 11.27 mark away from the bollard on the baseline and you have your correct angle...no need for any of those other measurements you were doing. Hope thay simplifies things for you going forward.
The hydraulic units are heavier for parking lot use. I used a 200hs for many years then switched to a 5900 and will never go back. My 5900 does everything the heavier 200hs does but the 5900 is so much lighter to use in a parking lot. The 130hs isn't bad bigger than a 3900 but smaller than a 5900.
