I'm Khadija. I used to be part of another reaction series (RiVerse Reacts) and now I'm here, continuing my k-pop journey with all of you! I have fallen in love with the k-pop industry - the idols, the music, the performances, the choreography, the language, everythingggggg - and I love being able to share my excitement with other k-pop fans. So if you want to fangirl (or fanboy or fanperson) along with me, subscribe and let's do this!
It’s music video’s like this that I miss rIVerse because I feel like you guys together would have loved it and vibed out to it. I hope you one day do a reaction where you pick out some top tier stuff that the others have missed and watch it together! 🥰🥰
Native American tribes had their people with dreadlocks so don't even try to come at my people about that. Maybe stop worrying about how people operate and worry about you losing ever argument because you fucking mad.
They’ve said in a recent interview they are releasing music that is combining more Red and Velvet now (just like Feel My Rhythm and Chill Kill) so it makes total sense you’re hearing both sides and they’re perfecting the balance every comeback!
Solar is such a baddie. I love how your reaction. I also got emotional to colors. There is something so brave and loving in its clear depiction of queer culture in a highly homophobic country.
Okay, I just watched it... haha. Didn't really add any information that we didn't already get from the MVs, I think...? What was your interpretation of the story?
14:52 There's one thing I couldn't tell you ( 나 너한테 못한 말이 있는데..) 15:03 Can I hug you just once? ( 너 한번만 안아봐도 되냐 ) 15:33 (Jaehyun call In-guk) Ya!!!! 16:45 (In-guk said)I missed you (보고싶었어)
I saw a post on twitter saying "He (seo inguk's character) loved him too early, He (Jaehyun's character) loved him too late." and I WAS BAWLING. Fun Fact: Seo In-guk because of his role in K. Will's MV in 2012 has the nickname "World Gay" he's known like that by everyone in Korea (and around the world) and he finds it hilarious. Sometimes they even title him as that in funny interviews. Even on Inguk's channel in korea n and english he refers to himself as "World Gay" If you search "World Gay" into youtube K. Will's - Please Don't shows up.
All of these songs are so beautiful. I'll never forget the first time I saw Please Don't in 2019 - how I loved the song, the way he sang it, how attractive and good his acting was, the surprise ending - it's a perfect MV. My thought on it even today, is that there is no way he could be SO in love with his friend if they hadn't been intimate, even if it was just once, Although I love NSSFMBH, I didn't care much about the MV. It was fun to watch once, but I wouldn't watch it again. (The Please Don't MV, I could watch over and over.) The only dialog I understood was the last sentence, which I think means, "I miss you" (bogo sipeo). Interesting how similar the basic tracks of Out of Time and Please Don't are. All three of these songs are now on my playlist. Thanks so much for the reaction. I really enjoyed these songs with you!
"my thought on it even today, is that there is not way he could be so in love with his friend if they hadn't been intimate..." from this sentence alone, i can tell that you're a westerner. let me tell you, asians don't really have s*x before marriage with their partner (tho in this modern world with the influence of american culture, there are many obv. but some people actually really hold onto their religion tightly). we asians have so many things we can do and can't do, our cultures are really different. besides (f we set aside the cultural and religion thing), does love actually equals to intimate? nah i don't think so. a person can be so in love with another person and keep it secret for years without actually even interacting with each other. like in muslim culture, if a girl and a boy like each other (can't be a couple since it's haram), they will have a ta'aruf (meeting each other's families. sort of get to know each other more), and then get married. and after that, they can make love. also, i see more muslims family last-long together with their children without having divorces and other stuff like that tho. anyways, this is all pure thoughts of mine. ofc, it depends on the people itself, not the religion or cultural things. it's not that important but i just can't help it to voice out my opinions hahah. sorry :))
@@seulgaebaerene No problem! Actually, by intimate, I didn't mean it had to be s*x. There's a lot in between skinship and intercourse, no? People often fall deeply in love from just a touch of the face in a certain way or a kiss, while for others it was just flirting for a minute. Although I was born in the U.S., I've lived in Japan for many years, starting since I was a child. I appreciate your thoughts - very interesting!
@@minimasuo ahh i misunderstood then- i thought you meant intimate as s*x since that's what most people referred to. i'm so sorry hahah 😅 i mean yeah, skinship is definitely really important for most people to feel the love, whether platonically or romantically. anyways, great to know that ! i'm so sorry for assuming that you're a complete westerner. not saying like being westerners are wrong, no for sure. each nationalities, ethnicities and races are beautiful and unique in their own way ! it's just i misunderstood some things hahah but thanks for your understanding :))
I agree the Please Don't MV is iconic and exciting every time you watch it. NSSFMBH is... intense and dramatic. I probably won't watch it often, but not because I don't like it, I actually think it was beautiful and really well-done... it's just so sad! Thanks for watching my reaction and sharing your thoughts!!
Watching this midway so u may have read the comments on what seo inguk said but he basically said “i havent been able to tell you this but…. can i hold you just this once?” 😀🥲
I reacted to 'TROUBLE' and 'UGLY' on a Twitch stream a few months ago! My stream replays are on Patreon... I won't be posting it here on RU-vid. BUT I'll try to check out 'Badder Love' soon!!!
No kidding almost cried first time I heard and saw this. Such a beautiful melody and the emotions only Red Velvet can bring. Love it. Thanks for reacting to this, from this RV fan.
@@KPopwithKhadija omg of course .. i love you so much😭😭❤️❤️.. I've been loved you for a long time since you're in the rIVerse react channel..hope you'll always be healthy tho..
Update: Nayoung has placed first place in a Korean singing competition show and will be debuting in a new girlgroup. Marquise had cleared all her social media recently and gone mia, a lot op people are speculating that she’s a trainee at another companion
Even tho I couldn't hear the lawn mower in your video there was one outside mine so I got the full experience anyways 😂 I agree Chill Kill had to grow on me but Cosmic hit right away. Idk if it was the chorus or what but this ticked all the boxes for me
Hahaha omg I hate that for you!!! NO LANDSCAPING WHILE WE WATCH RED VELVET! That should be a law. Ugh, seriously though. I dunno what exactly it is with Cosmic but it's doing everything right! I can't stop singing it!
I think we're getting more from them, another teaser is out. Im not sure if another mv or just the performance vid. The recording behind is already out.
What a great surprise the RU-vid algorithm just gave me!!!!! I'm so happy to see you, Khadija (Youre my favorite Riverse member) MISSED YOU AND THE REACTION VIDEOS ❤❤❤❤❤
Hiiiiii! 👋🏾 Well, I'm so glad we've found each other again lol. Thanks for watching and let's keep being k-pop friends! I need people to keep talking about all my faves with 😅
When I first heard Cosmic intro it's giving a familiar vibe and flow but with its prechorus- na uh, they gave me this untraditional flow chorus that no one ever touched. They mean the Kpop world to me. Thank you for existing Red Velvet
Thank you for reacting to their Coachella performance. I know you love the Girls based on your previous reactions to their songs. I love them wholeheartedly despite their flaws. It was just really hard to be a fan the past few months due to heavy criticisms. But I still love them and hoping for a stronger comeback. Thank you for this reaction. You earned another subscriber.
Yes, I really do like this group a lot. There's so much good in them & I know they can be GREAT. It's unfortunate how much criticism they were getting with the last comeback but I'm hoping it will be motivation for them & for HYBE to make sure they're always at the top of their game moving forward. Cuz they really are a talented group & the music is GREAT!!! Thanks so much for watching my reaction and sharing your thoughts 💚
They're THE only girl group active with all Korean members. Let that sink in first. Kpop is global now. Red Velvet is not "global" enough. But I love them.
STAYC (4th gen) is another group that has all Korean members. They have a comeback on July 1st. I think RV is the only 3rd Gen all Korean members. But I could be wrong! Either way, I'm always proud when 2nd/3rd Gen groups come back.
Hmmm... I didn't hear that. Do you mean that kind of floating sound? Strings & high-pitched arpeggios (keys, probably)? I can hear a similar vibe there
11:00 there are parts where you feel like it should resolve & it doesn't, & I think that's what adds to the whole eerie, unnerving vibe -even if it's such a pretty song.
YES! Precisely that! Particularly in the chorus. We have really interesting chord progressions that pique your ears but then when you want them to resolve, instead of finishing the phrase they start again and it's like... ahhhhhhh! It's so perfectly Red Velvet
No 😔 I'm desperately trying to catch up with so much editing and getting reactions up. I just gave a small highlight here on RU-vid for anyone who WANTS to go watch the full thing, but I won't be uploading it here. (That song is sooooo pretty, though. I literally ended the stream after I did that reaction cuz I was too sad and I wanted to cry lol)
I felt the same about Jurin and Cocona’s song(was that a tape?). A lot of people called it just them acknowledging the culture but honestly it felt more like cosplaying as such bc it just felt like name dropping things especially relating to African American culture. And it was so heavy handed that it felt almost odd, and very inauthentic
Yeah, it was Tape #3... I get what you mean. Their cyphers are all about paying homage to hip hop, so I understand why they are "name dropping" but I think they sometimes lean SO HEAVILY into it, kind of feels like they're trying to prove something. Which they don't need to do! And it makes it feel even more like cosplaying rather than just authentically living it. I dunno, it's interesting. And the outfits? Are definitely leaning too heavily into "hip hop" sometimes.
