Awesome feature guys! My first ever vintage in vineyard was in fact in Nagano. I really want you to try some chardonnay from there, although Nagano is quite big and there are some sub regions within. Also, I'd like you to try Pinot Noir from Hokkaido, the Northern most island. Thanks and keep it up!
Thank you 🙏 Appreciate the feedback, particularly coming from you! We definitely need to try the Chardonnay from Nagano and Pinot Noir from Hokkaido. Any particular wineries that you recommend we source them from?
Funny thing is these people will believe anything they hear and you could put dirty cheap no name wine as long as they think it's special they will love it
My list of cult wine producers are Sami-Odi, Standish Wine Company, Tolpuddle, Agricola, Eisenstone, Wild Duck Creek Estate, Giaconda, Wendouree, and Greenock Creek. Standish being my pick of those.
@@TheWinedUp we have become the nanny country high taxes on alcohol and smokes and stupid emissions on cars, China produces more pollution then the rest of the world combined but I don't see them doing anything
@@shorty7093 awesome! We never really paid noticed them before, but after this interview we realised we need to try more and there’s absolutely a place for wine in a can!
Great video. Good education about faults. The only thing I'd say about the age worthiness of wine... a few years ago my wife organised with CT to have a birth year wine delivered to our restaurant for lunch. It was a Tyrrells 1979 Piniot Noir. The lack of fruit and abundance of tertiary characters could of been considered a fault however for me it's the best bottle I've ever enjoyed, with my wife over a cheese platter!
@@philtait62 1979 Tyrrell’s Pinot Noir! That would have been a great celebration! I think that’s what stood out about Marc Malouf’s comments about the objective vs subjective aspect of wine assessment. Fault or no fault doesn’t actually matter as long as you enjoy the wine! Thanks for the feedback.
I love this, and I'm so happy you shared this story and enjoyed that Pinot so much! Special wines leave special marks on all of us 😍 No-one can tell anyone if they should or shouldn't love a particular wine, and if someone tries that, put them in their place. The beauty, mystery and romance of wine lives in each persons individual preferences, elevated even higher with others to share it with, a time, a place and an occasion that suits.
@@DominicLe-ij1sp we definitely need to try more Etna Rosso! Appreciate you sharing that bottle. Let us know any other wine you’re grabbing from Costco.
I had a 2000 BP recently that was incredibly Smokey and without fruit. I had thought it may have seen its best days and I think this confirms that for me. Great episode gents
