lovely video, thanks. That Dennis Lowline is gorgeous...a new type for me, I'm not familiar with Dennis, as my home town (Swansea, Wales) was a BET company and nearly exclusively AEC!
you are wrong, I get in there with a 4 axle wrecker wagon and I got round tighter while dragging a full length bus. Its all about knowing where and when to turn. The position of the wheels on the bus is nothing to do with getting round tight turns. They are positioned to allow a lower entry and flat floor for the majority of the length of the bus. Optare Solo's have the steering axle in front of the driver, albeit less over hang at the front
Here’s a tip, when turning always look at the indicators positions as well ur wheels position to the road by using ur mirrors, and when turning check the mirrors of the side of the bus that’s gonna swing out so you don’t hit any cars
The first time I drove a bus I had been driving trucks for a few years, it was a very strange feeling to see things getting very close before the instructor said now you can turn. 🤣🤣🤣
@Thetransportchannel I wont make it Friday, Wifes hospital appointment has been changed for Friday. Have a good time, I look forward to seeing the video(s)
Hi! I love this video, would you mind if I made a series of my own, in my area? I don’t intend to steal your idea and audience, I just love this concept! 😁 Great clips my friend
Doesn't really matter that the wheels are behind the driver. It's the position of the wheels that's relevant, not the drivers position in relation to them.
Sigh. Another station that is a shadow of its former self. When I used it in the 1970s, there were three tracks, one going into the station building and there was a siding which would take one goods van. Between West Dyke Road and Redcar Lane crossings there were sidings, not that I ever saw them being used. The former station master at Redcar Central was the Scout Master of Saltburn scouts! (extra trivium for good luck)
Ive lived here all my life and have never wanted more too move out of this shit hole You can tell after it was bombed during the war it was never rebuilt
