Lets take a look at Kirkham Abbey Level Crossing, one of over 6000 level crossings in the UK. Some level crossings are unique some are just standard and some level crossings like this one at Kirkham Abbey seem to be stuck in time. Kirkham Abbey Level crossing is on the Scarborough to York line. The signal box at Kirkham Abbey level crossing is a grade 2 listed building, its antiquated gates system is what makes this level crossing a gem that hasn’t been touched by modernisation (Yet)
