Two awesome books in this month's wrap-up (plus one that I haven't read), and Dracula Daily is such a cool idea! It makes me wonder if there's more classic literature written in "datestamp" style that could work for this format.
I really don't know why Finale just didn't do it for me unlike Caraval and Legendary...I feel the focus was too much on Legend,Tella and Jacks ,that J wanted more of the magic, the action, the adventure just like in Caraval.
Yeah, I kinda felt that way too. That’s why I wanted more of Scarlett’s story, cause I felt it would’ve had more magic and adventure. I still liked it, but it wasn’t my favorite book from the series.
why is this so real, anyways a few days ago I was returning a book bc I finished it then I go to read mh next book ONLY TO REALIZE I returned the WRONG BOOK and now it was a 8 week wait, yeah I went to spotify audiobooks for this one....
Absolutely adore The Folk of the Air trilogy! I still haven’t read The Stolen Heir because I want to do a reread of the others first 🙈 Ali Hazelwood’s book Check & Mate was my biggest surprise of the year! I enjoyed The Love Hypothesis when I read it as well
The problem with watching other book tubers is that it only makes the tbr bigger. Best wishes with what you choose to read. I hope you get some great stories. Happy reading.
Yeah I wonder if it's worth reading old books if it's outdated? I guess it's a good snapshot of the time but I dunno, I'm trying to read more recent novels. Maybe you should also try the game Dark Souls haha.
It’s been a decade since I finished the Inheritance series. I do remember the sequels after the first book having some slow moments. I think this is why I mostly lost interest in the series after it finished. I do think it is interesting that Paolini has returned to his world after so many years. If this new series is successful he might be able to win over some critics. Some people saw the original series as being too derivative of other fantasy series like Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. I don’t know if I will pick up this new series. However the middle/high school kid in me hopes it does well. PS: 300 pages is kinda short for Paolini isn't it. From what I remember the original novels were around 600-800 admittedly easy to read text. The fact that it still felt like it dragged to you does not bode well for the writing. Yikes.
Oh, the full book was over 600 pages but there’s a side quest in the beginning that lasts about 300 pages 😅 I should’ve clarified! Regardless of my critiques, I hope it does well too!
@@LittleLadyLindsay Honestly I checked and you said it clear enough. I skipped ahead to avoid minor spoilers and started at the middle of a sentence. My mistake.
I found this video via Reddit (although I’m a subscriber.) This video was really helpful. I still can’t bring myself to write in the actual book, but I’ve recently been using tabs and post-it notes. Happy Reading! 😁📚👍
I just finished writing my first novel and self published it. It is about the origin of Yultide and the North Pole Elves with nods to CSLewis and Tolkien. I’ll have to get it to you. It’s only 130 pages. A fast read. JJ
I’m reading the Princess Bride right now and really enjoying it. I’m glad you mentioned it! Princess Bride, Die Hard, and Ferris Builler’s Day Off are my favorite 80s movies
