I just bought a Vest! Disperse the weight as they say... I have tried multiple waist packs, that Military stuff is the best. Molle, MMSS, Gen III... ALICE Stuff, well... The new Fighting Load Carrier! And oh to find Rain Gear as durable as the Gore-Tex... If I had an 'ol Lady... She'd be getting a Sewing Machine for Christmas. Her Company would be called, "The Patriot Raiment Co." LLC . "Not Even Cold or Wet" would be our slogan. Hey have you ever seen a "Happy Suit" or a "Marshmallow Suit" of the ECWCS Gen III stuff? "Camo"... Something more "Civil" may be in order at times.
Hey bud seen sum of the video and it's not bad but you need to include a multi tool to manipulate different items I'm 53 combat vet and been off grid for awhile good videos keep it y
I curious on how many poles come with it! If there are at least 4 that go together, maybe two on each end, then you don’t need a ridge line! Just thinking out loud!😂
I have an older Austrian one . And an Olds hool us one. The Austrian one is turning into a sticky mess due to age and the canvas one is heavy. I just bought a onewind ultralight version
Did you know that the carrying pouch serves as a hood for the poncho that this half tent can create? That is also resitent to fire... If you waterproof the cloth, nothing will get in. Get a second half to make a tent. Can be placed on top of a backpack and it will serve as a extra protection.
I like east German too I was look back in my old vide utube tool it down ! It smaller than the old Baker tent boy scout without the the work place but I seen use both half's raise on silde with silde flaps put out cut the wind I have the onewind some like too !
German army pup tent, not uncommon in UK. Can still get them and the hood for making into poncho. Nice bits of kit. A lot of videos if you search German army pup tent. Cheers Jim
The videos in German if you skip to where he makes it into a poncho variant with this tarp plus the pouch that it comes in is actually a hood the buttons in to make the poncho ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GJOnPVFUug0.htmlsi=FEGVcr23U_1USVFq
The stakes didn’t seem to be well made/ sturdy from the vid. I know you’re cool with it seeing how you love canvas. Nice camo pattern, looks like that new pattern the military came out with 8 or 9mths ago. I’m assuming she gotta be about 3+ ( 300 for those that don’t speak hood ). Thxz for the heads up vid.
Jake, "One Wind" makes a 'tarp' with the same configuration. Much lighter but definitely NOT flame resistant. The poles/stakes design is SOOO German. I also have a bug net tent for ground sleeping so I think the two will work together.
@@MichaelStuartRandle I’ll have to check that out! I’d like to get another half and the mod it to where I can put a tent stove in it. Be like a mini hot tent for those cold winter days
I watch Bushcraft buddy and The forest and me . Both in Germany and friends. They use multiples in a lot of their videos. They seldom speak in their videos and I don’t speak much German but you can get ideas . Think the most I’ve seen them tie together was six or seven for a very large shelter. Thanks for sharing the info
Nice little belt pouch kit my dude. I really like that barrel knife I've never seen anything like that before. Also i can't believe you have a pocket sundial, so Kool. I just recently watched a vid talking about those.
