Great job young man. Most would just wrap it around themselves, but this is an excellent alternative. Thanks for teaching an old dog.👍

I just bought a Vest! Disperse the weight as they say... I have tried multiple waist packs, that Military stuff is the best. Molle, MMSS, Gen III... ALICE Stuff, well... The new Fighting Load Carrier! And oh to find Rain Gear as durable as the Gore-Tex... If I had an 'ol Lady... She'd be getting a Sewing Machine for Christmas. Her Company would be called, "The Patriot Raiment Co." LLC . "Not Even Cold or Wet" would be our slogan. Hey have you ever seen a "Happy Suit" or a "Marshmallow Suit" of the ECWCS Gen III stuff? "Camo"... Something more "Civil" may be in order at times.

I curious on how many poles come with it! If there are at least 4 that go together, maybe two on each end, then you don’t need a ridge line! Just thinking out loud!😂

Did you know that the carrying pouch serves as a hood for the poncho that this half tent can create? That is also resitent to fire... If you waterproof the cloth, nothing will get in. Get a second half to make a tent. Can be placed on top of a backpack and it will serve as a extra protection.

The stakes didn’t seem to be well made/ sturdy from the vid. I know you’re cool with it seeing how you love canvas. Nice camo pattern, looks like that new pattern the military came out with 8 or 9mths ago. I’m assuming she gotta be about 3+ ( 300 for those that don’t speak hood ). Thxz for the heads up vid.

Jake, "One Wind" makes a 'tarp' with the same configuration. Much lighter but definitely NOT flame resistant. The poles/stakes design is SOOO German. I also have a bug net tent for ground sleeping so I think the two will work together.

I watch Bushcraft buddy and The forest and me . Both in Germany and friends. They use multiples in a lot of their videos. They seldom speak in their videos and I don’t speak much German but you can get ideas . Think the most I’ve seen them tie together was six or seven for a very large shelter.
