I LOVE your enthusiasm with your WIPs and finishes! I MUST stitch Bower Birds too! I agree with the other comments, choose the color that ‘feels’ right if you hold it next to your cabinets. I’m going to check out the documentaries that you mentioned. Have a great week and thank you for taking the time to create your Flosstubes!
I think I would change the floss for the house on the Stacy Nash piece, or you probably won't be happy with it. The rest looks fantastic...keep going! I have the kit as well, do you mind me asking why you didn't use the called for fabric?
Absolutely love everything you are working on! I have Raven Bewitched and pulled my own colors as well! They are more moody plums , dark blue and brown blacks; if I can find it I will send a picture! I am going to start Every Opening Flower very soon for Sarah Stitch Spot’s birthday SAL; waiting on the silks! I love the blue/greens you are going to do the Liz Matthew’s piece on; I would think the first one might be the best; the grayish green! I have to tell you I too am a Deadliest catch fan! The new season is starting off pretty good! Have watched it since it first started! Okay, so you need to fill me in on the Idaho weather; my partner is wanting to move to the Idaho Falls area in 2025 and I am a bit nervous about making a move from CA to ID! Appreciate any info you can give me! Always fun to catch up with you and your stitching! Love the Old Mushroom fabric too! I just went through my fabric stash and saw a piece of it; now to find a sampler chart to stitch! So many designs and so little time! Happy Stitching!
Always love watching my your video! I too have Bower Birds but haven’t stitched it. I agree with you, I like the first floss (prim seaside or something) hard to see. But hard to tell unless you stitch a small sample. Good luck & Happy Stitching 🧵 🪡
Jordan, you did an awesome job. I’m very impressed with all your miribilias & your long dogs which also is my passion. I just ordered the brand new one. I’m a little late watching you so this is probably news to you also but there’s a new one out called love at first sight. Can’t wait to get it. I just ordered it. I haven’t picked a color yet, I’m like you. I love to stitch one color I did death by cross stitch in black and the companion piece life after death for my grandson and pilgrim , castles , do bears. I think it’s called. I also did the one you’re working on the Quakers dozen oh, I love them, but you’re doing great. Keep up the good work and I can’t wait to watch number two.
I live at the beach…if you have any problems getting sand off…use baby powder. It works everytime! I’m watching 1883…Sam Elliot, Tim magraw, faith hill, Tom hanks. It’s addictive! I’m in love love love Moon Garden.
Yay for mid year Wip parades! I look forward to seeing that. Great to see all of your gorgeous stitching. Re; your Pineberry Christmas st…. How far are you percentage wise? If you’re close to 50% , I vote for you to continue on and backstitch the house in the same color, but 1 or 2 shades darker in order to help it stand out. It’s looking beautiful and the rest of the colors show well, imo. I’m diving into Christmas in July as well, but I struggle with stitching out of season. I’ve got 300 patriotic, bee and other Summery patterns that I want to work on! The struggle is real! 🥴🤪🤣 Have a wonderful week.
I think you should choose the midrange green (I think it said Seaside on the tag) for your upcoming bird stitch. I would try changing just the house colour on the one you are unhappy with. Love seeing your stitching, Jordan.
No Jordan…. That’s not a good choice for stitch west. Love love love the pattern and the colours u chose tho. Also for Bower Birds use the one that works with your kitchen cabinets, but I like the greener one. Seafoam!!???? So 80’s. add peach and you’ll be right back there. For “Christmas at Hollyberry Farm” change the house colour to a red brick. Can we have a tour of your craft room?
Yes I like the choice of greens for that cross stitch. Which one to use is up to you, perhaps all of them instead of just one, but given the background, a darker colour would show up better. Just my thought.😊
Hello Jordan, great video so many excellent charts. Quaker Garden is on OOP wish list. Question: do you like those Nurge hoops. I have a wooden nurge hoop but that those. Just got some birthday money this week soooooo😂 Thanks
Hi Jordan. Re holly berry farm, I would change the color of the house. It is too gorgeous to scrap. And re the green color I would go with the darker green you showed on the left. It is greener than the other two in my opinion
I love your videos. I am a new stitcher, do you use a Nurge hoop? And Q-Snap?, I do like my Q snap. I’m curious about a Nurge. I love your linen choices
Oh I use everything! Qsnap if I’m planning to leave the project on it for a long time with felt over the stitching, the plastic nurge hoops or my wooden beechwood hoops for everything else!
Always great to see what you’re working on.I like the Stacy Nash on Old Mushroom because your stitching is showcased more than the fabric being showcased. If you’re unhappy with the house color try changing just that. Happy Stitching!
Love all of your WIPS - they are so pretty. I love the Fabrics and the Floss Colors. When you are stitching on 40 Count or 36 Count do you use a Floor Lamp that has Magnification to it or what do you use if you use anything at all? Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🧵🪡✂️❤️
@@tattooed_stitcher - Oh Wow - that is amazing that you don’t need Magnification for that smaller count of Fabric. I am happy for you that you do not need any Magnification. ❤️🤗🧵🪡✂️❤️
Enjoyed as always…..so I was worried last video when you weren’t going to use the red cloth but I LOVE your fabric! You are right - there is just a little pink/red undertone to the brown & it’s perfect! Makes me want to start a stitchy bug collection!
Oh Jordan! I am right with you. My son turned 3 in March. I just took a week off to potty train and we are no closer than we were at first. He has no desire to learn. It is hard.
I haven’t seen anyone say they really liked the 2nd half of this Bridgerton season…I think I’m not even going to watch these 4 episodes. And I’m definitely not watching the next season.
I love seeing all of your finishes. My husband and I are moving into a new to us house at the beginning of August. I have not cross stitched in probably the last 3 years, so I am hoping that once we get moved and feel more settled that I will have time to work on some projects again. I just went online and ordered the Hilda Boo and Sunflowers Too! pattern by Brenda Gervais | With Thy Needle & Thread. Anyway, I really wish that I knew someone local to me who was a linen stitcher where they could teach me how to stitch on linen. I have had a couple of different people send me some scrap pieces of linen to try, and for the life of me, I have just never been able to figure it out. After much trying (and admittedly a whole lot of frustration) I did eventually figure out how to stitch on lugana. But linen stitching still remains an unsolved mystery. I have often thought if I could find someone who would be willing to send me a small piece of linen with some stitches put in that maybe seeing where the stitches actually go on the fabric would be a useful teaching trick. Maybe then I would have that "Ah hah!" lightbulb moment. But linen threads often tend to not be even, so I really don't even know where to begin or where the stitches are even supposed to go. But I always love the look of finished projects stitched on linen, but until I can somehow figure it out, I guess I will be forever destined to be a lugana stitcher.
Stitching on linen is the same as lugana! Still going over 2 fabric threads, it can be tricky sometimes because the threads are uneven but you still just go over 2! Hilda boo and sunflowers too is such a cute chart!
Have you discovered the movie Leo on Netflix yet? That’s one of our current faves. We also watch all three of the Octonauts movies on Netflix. Otto just watched the original Annie for the first time and I was surprised at how much he loved it. Have you guys seen the Secret of NIMH? That’s one of my all-time favorites. So many great movies out there!!
Secret of NIHM is on our list! And so is Annie! My kids have watched Leo when it first came out but I’ve never watched it myself, they liked it though! And oh goodness I’ve seen those dang octonaut movies a dozen times at this point I think! It’s a cute show!
